What Dolphin Fans Used to Sound Like!!!!!

That video was awesome, thanks!

I don't think our fans will be that great ever again...those were the good ole days, I can't help but to think cocaine had something to do with the intensity of that crowd.

Without looking, I'm guessing it's that Bears video in 1985 in the Orange Bowl

Went to the final home game vs the bills a few weeks after that bears game. We finished the season at 12-4. Those were the days, lots of energy back then. I remember going to the keys the weekend before the game and buying a t-shirt at a little market, it was a dolphins shirt and it had a bear hanging from a noose, it was from that game vs bears, wish I still had that one.

It will never be that way again.
In the old Orange Bowl, the stands were right on top and very close to the field.
Joe Robbie Stadium was build with baseball in mind and the stands were away from the field.
I was actually at that Bears game.
It was awesome!

Before I actually watched the link all the way through, I said to myself "BS dude, you looked"...

Please forgive, I was born a year after... I had no idea this was even possible:oops:

The Orange bowl used to rock and sway in those days.

The bathrooms were something out of a horror movie though

Anytime a thread referencing "this is how the fans used to sound" . . . its always this video. Was a great time, in a different stadium, with a different team and a different culture in South Florida.

What? Peeing in the sinks is a problem for you? LOL!!!

Even still, the place was magic as far as Home field advantage goes.

What they currently sound like ... it will never be as loud as the OB but this is pretty loud after game winning TD vs Atlanta.

Serious question. Was there not a play clock back then? 7 minutes to run a play

My first Gator game was the Orange Bowl against Syracuse down there in '99. The Dolphins had a Wild Card game against the Bills that day so they had to move the Orange Bowl back to the actual Orange Bowl. I swear you could actually see through the structure and watch the game while you took a leak.

No doubt. At times the entire stadium would actually shake. You could see the play clock moving up and down. It's hard for me to imagine it ever being that good again.

Unfortunately the demands of the modern spectator, and more importantly the monied spectator/corporations, will never align with that old school Orange Bowl experience and mindset. Some still prefer vinyl but most like the convenience of mp3.
