I heard he's contemplating on the desicion because he wants to decide if he wants to go through the rigors of training camp again?

Personally, i'd pass on a guy with an attitude like that. Get a job down at 7-11 if you want to be lazy.

He was going to retire, then we called. He still has awhile to decide.

Plus, if he waits, he doesn't have to go through the rigors and discipline of training camp.
EDIT: Oops, that was already mentioned.:smackhead

RE-EDIT: Those of us who have jobs at 7-11 don't particularly like to be characterized as "lazy". Not that there aren't some cashiers who aren't, but you'll find people like that in just about any line of work.

1- Fat
2- Lazy
3- Wants to skip training camp (See #2)
4- Doesn't give a crap about the game, just wants a paycheck to be fat and lazy.
5- Already took a number of teams to the cleaners to be a big, fat, underachieveing dud, and doesn't really need the money.

That's pretty much how I see it.

There was a thread about this going before.

I wouldn't expect to see him prior to training camp. He's not gonna be super psyched about doing 2 a days in Miami. He's an older, larger player. He knows how long it will take him to be ready and won't rush to get the jump start on practice. Not necessarily ideal, but you make allowances for these kinds of things with veterans. I'm pretty sure we only made Traylor practice once a day last summer. If he can help, I'd still like to see him sign. You can never have enough depth on the D-line.

I think he will sign with us.Its only practice. Were talking about practice.

I can see allowing someone to miss large portions of TC if they are a returning player(Walter Jones,SEA.). But, if you are switching teams, then you should be expected/want to make an early impression. Also, the fact that we have young talent at the NT position(Wright,Evans,Fifita).

I agree with all you said except that he actually was a pretty good player in Detroit. He was never a huge game-changer to justify his draft status but he excelled in occupying blockers and clogging the middle, especially as he got older. I certainly wouldn't break the bank for him but I would pay him Keith Traylor type money and expect him to be an effective role player.

He probably don't want to participate in the minicamps. I saw Mike Minter talking about Brentson Buckner who would also be a nice fit IMO and said that the older vets hate them.

Nothing personal, bud

Last I heard is that he is wanting to wait until camp to sign with a team.

The only thing that really matters is whether he improve the team more than the person whose roster spot he would be replacing.

He was?

I didn't know that.

I think that's why Detroit released him. He was taking too long to make a decision.
