What grades are you giving our picks? Obviously it all depends, but i'm just curious what everybody thinks of our picks as of today. If you don't agree with any pick, who do you feel SHOULD have been the pick, now knowing who was available?

C/C- biggest need was WR and didn't do a thing to fix it

ill play this opinion game

Tannehill A- Low risk/High reward. Low risk b/c we already shanked five 2nd round picks in henne, white, feeley, culpepper, beck

Martin B- Need since AFC East defenses improved mightily but would have like schwartz
Vernon B Potential sleeper
Miller B- Injury concerns and too many RBs on team
Egnew C
Kaddu C-
Randall???
Cunningham A- Amazing productive in college to be drafted in 6th value
Matthews B+ Great YAC WCO guy

Overall B

You get a A+ for actually playing it correct.

You really only give Egnew a "C"??
I know his blocking skills aren't the best but I think his speed and size will be an asset down the seam. I don't really know too much about him though. Are his hands any good? I saw his numbers. Had alot of catches one year. Half the following year.

His hands are good, plucking in a large radius but he can't block in how many years he has played football. I know fasano will be doing that but it makes the offensive play more predictable. Thus a grade "C" If the coaches can bring it out of him, then u got 2 TE like New England and SF, where the defense won't know who will release.

Tannehill C+ (I love the pick, but he has to prove hes a top 10 player from this draft, until then this is a guy ranked round 19-30 as a prospect who was picked 8th, again i love the pick though)
Martin B+ (Dolphins grabbed what could easily be considered the "BPA", a first round grade, some concerns (as a LT), but will be a great compliment to long and fills a need)
Vernon D (I think this was a need pick, its very boom or bust to me for a high pick, there were better players on the board imo at the time.)
Egnew B+ (Possibly the real best receiving TE in this draft class, faced double coverage all season, essentially played the slot, monster athlete, redzone phenom, 3rd ranked TE, Great value, has some issues in blocking that keep me from giving it an A pick at this time)
Miller A- (I think this was one of the biggest steals of the draft, clearly a "BPA" pick, dimensional in his game but who isn't in the 4th round? A serious 2nd round candidate, fell similar to rueben randle WR LSU, i think he was the 3rd or 4th best back in this draft, like him more then daniel thomas, reminds me of the demarco murray pick by the cowboys last year)
Kaddu D
Randle F
Cunningham B-
Mathews B+

Total grade comes out to a 79.8 or 80, ala B-

The thing with Tannehill is that Gabbert went #10 last year, Locker #8 and Ponder #12 i believe. Just playing 2 years at QB in college, his development is ahead of Gabbert and Locker in terms of pro style offense and accuracy. So, the dolphins drafting him at #8 is not a reach and justifiable that the media are constantly saying and writing about. Totally undesered flack from the media.

Tannehill is bigger than RGIII and according to some throws a better ball on the move. If you've watched Green Bay you know Aaron Rodgers is excellent on the run and had to do so often... not to mention he'll pickup the pro style offense very quickly.

Sounds fun, in a few years I can look back and see how wrong I was haha.

Tannehill- B This franchise has waited to long to take shots on a first round QB and with the rookie cap now more than ever is the time to start trying it. Shows promise, knows the offense and Sherman obviously should know better than anyone(lets hope)

Martin- A Anytime you get a player that a month or so was projected to go in the top 10 and didn't do something to drastically screw it up it is a steal in round 2. We were actually projected to grab him at one point with our 1st. I love this pick, may take a year for him to fully develop and add strength but ability and smarts are there.

Vernon- C Has potential but early 3rd round is too early for potential picks. I feel we should have grabbed someone we thought could show up right now with our 3rd(maybe we thought no one could) I would have liked to gone with Brandon Brook OG Miami (ohio)

Egnew- C See above comments on potential. I do like the thought of having a TE that can stretch the field and be a Hernandez type, I just think he would have been there later on. I think we could have grabbed him in the 5th, which would have made him an A pick. I am probably wrong though. I would have like Sanu WR Rutgers

Miller- A Value Value Value, a guy that was thought to maybe be a first round pick and a top 5 RB prospect in the 4th round? Did I metion he is 5'11 212 and ran a 4.4 40? Love it even though we really didn't need a RB right now.

Kaddu- ? Will leave a grade off because I have no idea who he is. I would think we could have waited longer. I would have went with Marvin Jones WR Cal

Cunningham- B Nice pick for where it was considering we didn't take any other WRs. I think he might end up being half way decent in this system.

Randall- D It is tough to rate a 7th rounder a D, but I feel he has little chance of having any value. I would have taken Cam Johnson DE Virginia

Matthews- D Once again 7th rounder, but I feel he is a wasted pick. Not alot of talent here from my point of view. I would have taken Vontaze Burfict LB Arizona State (probably a waste but has talent. I would rather have a chance at him contributing than wasting a pick on Matthews)

Personally, I thought Locker, Ponder and Gabbert were all major reaches last year. So concluding Tannehill selection is not a reach based on QBs that were a reach the previous year is a reach.

Tannehill - C - Don't like Tannehill as a prospect. But don't hate the pick since we're never winning anything without a QB.

Martin - C - The opposite of Tannehill. Like the prospect, but hate the pick. We still have the worst group of WR's in the league. Ireland obviously cares more about linemen than playmakers. That's the wrong mindset.

Vernon - C - Hard to say really, as is the case with most Hurricanes players the last few years under Randy Shannon. Has all the physical tools. Just needs the proper coaching. Whether we have that is yet to be seen.

Egnew - B - The guy is worthless as a blocker. But I don't really care about that. You need tight ends that can attack the seams in today's NFL. Egnew is a terrific athlete, a good pass catching TE. He's the first TE we've brought in a long while that I feel can give us a playmaker at the position.

Miller - C+ - Fast with good size. Elusive. Injury prone. Shys away from contact. Not a very good runner between the tackles. Dances way too much. Could be a good KR for us. Other than that, is mostly insurance for Reggie Bush. He'll get his share of sweeps, pitches, and screens to take advantage of his speed. Could thrive in a system that relies on several running backs.

Kaddu - D - Great athlete. The definition of a project.

Cunningham - C - Slow. Physical. Can pluck the ball out of the air. Good at getting YAC. Not a playmaker, but a possession type of WR.

Randle - D - A run defender. That's about it.

Matthews - C - Another slow, underneath type WR that you shouldn't expect to make very many plays at the next level.

Overall - C - The average we've all come to expect from this team.
