What happen to Chris Chambers in 06?

He had a bunch of HS caliber quarterbacks throwing to him.

he became too inconsistent.

quarterback play did not help either plus he cant even catch a cold

Sub par QBs
Horrible play calling
Dropped easy passes
Wes Welker was the only person who ran his route by the time Harrington wanted to throw the ball

You want to know what happened to Chris Chambers? Bad Coaches and Wanny Ball. Think about it. He's played in an offense that was so one dementional it's not even funny. He got his extension for his highlight reel catches and blocking for whoever the runningback was. This in my opinion stunted his growth tremedously as WR because he never got the opportunity to really become a consistent receiver. He finally got into an offense that actually threw the ball around and then the offense went out the door when Linehan left. Than came Mularkey and his playcalling which killed any chance of him being successfull.

2. The QBs he's had have also screwed up his chances of being good as well.

Ehhh? Chambers didn't have any big games in 2006.

i assume he is referring to two seasons ago with that great comeback against buffalo featuring Sage, 250 yards for chambers or something to that extent

YEah I know, but I'm so tired of Chris Chambers hating that if you're going to do it, do it right. Nothing wrong with hating if you have good stats and arguments, then it becomes criticism, which A Okay.

If you're gonna do it wrong, well it shouldn't be done in the first place.

Heres a question, do we cut Chambers next year if he doesn't produce under this regime this year. This offense is similar to the one we ran under Norv Turner if I am correct. Norv said when he got the SD job that the offense was about 85% the same as the one he installed when he was there. All that being said, given his price tag, and the fact we'll need to have some money to sign Hadnot and Bell next year assuming they both play well. Would it be a consideration?
