I’m preparing for the big test so I couldn’t watch the full game for quite a while. But I found Eric Rowe(#21) got beat up a lot by Waller. As far as I know, he wasn’t a good player ever since he became a Dolphin so I’m wondering What happened to Noah? I know we picked him mainly because of his potential but is he a bust or am i missing something?

Rowe is a safety, albeit a converted one, and straight cbs don't cover TEs in man.

I don’t understand this thread. Iggy is a very young (Youngest in the league) physically talented guy. Needs some development. Sorry a 1st rounder isn’t flourishing in year 1. That never happens.

On a side note has everyone on Finheaven watched football before? Just double checking.

Iggy was primary Kick Returner tonight.

He backs up Byron Jones and Xavien Howard at Boundary Cornerback.

Eric Rowe is a Safety.

He has played well this season, but was obviously overmatched by Darren Waller tonight.

I wish they would have had a better gameplan (or adjustment) to defending Waller (none of which would have included Noah).

Rowe got beat, but he had great coverage on those throws. The throws and timing were just perfect, and Waller has strong hands.
Igby is superathletic and that is a must at corner, so that when they get beat they can recover. He just needs to learn to play a little bit.

He also isn't a safety. OP was asking about Eric Rowe, and bringing up Iggy.

Maybe this was OP’s first watching experience?
I’ve been watching football since 02...Sorry to say that I’m not an expert of Flore’s defense and I watched highlights from the youtube(as I mentioned earlier that I couldn’t watch the full game). I saw Eric Rowe covered Waller man to man and he just got exposed a lot. I know Waller is top receiving TE but I was frustrated by Rowes cover skill. Anyway, you could’ve explain me whats Rowes role and our cover scheme generally (like he is safety but also plays man to man when we play cover 1 or cover 0) instead of bashing me like I do not know anything about football. Hope you have a great day sir.
sorry for my bad English I’m not native English speaker.

Rowe did everything he could have been asked of, in my opinion. He has definitely played some good football for Miami this year. Today just wasn’t his day.

Waller is 6’6”, 255 lbs., runs a 4.4, and is having a beastly year. Tbh, I am not sure who in this league can consistently cover him, lights out...

Rowe covered him on some of those throws. but he didn't react well and the balls were well placed

Waller is a WR who may just make Pitts a top 10 pick. not sure if we could have bracketed him or not

1 round CB does flourish. E.g., Marcus Peters, Marshon Lattimore, Champ Bailey, Jalen Ramsey, Charles Woodson and so on..But again, I know not all CB plays well in their rookie year since Corner is one of the toughest position in the football as I played Cornerback in my football team. But I was wondering why he couldn’t get more reps than guys like Eric Rowe during the summer camp. However some of you guys said Rowes main role is a safety so I guess I was wrong from the first place.
Anyway I hope I hope our D become the no.1 in the league soon. And I still think Eric Rowe isn’t the guy who we can trust.

Iggy has been disappointing, but he was the youngest player in the draft last year. Still has plenty of time to grow into something. If you remember X looked totally lost his rookie year too.

That said I didn’t get the pick that early. It was clear the kid was a complete project. I mean how much better would we be had we taken a LB like Patrick Queen in that spot instead.

Can’t hit ‘em all.
