What happened to the week 1 MNF schedule announcement?

I thought it was going to come out on Monday? Then they said Tuesday, and i havent heard anything since. Whats up with that?

They were also supposed to announce who the Jets were playing Thanksgiving night as well.

Rumor in Jetland is we are playing the Texans Thanksgiving night. Apparently both teams requested to play one another...why...I have no clue.

The games werent released Tues because the commish said he is reworking the schedule in an attempt to make just about all Week 16 and 17 games division games. Hes doing this in the hope of making the games at the end of the year that much more important and stop teams from resting guys.

Now I really hope we dont see you guys at home till the end of Dec.

I agree, the past few seasons weeks 16 & 17 were a joke. So I hope the commish does something to make it better.
But of course the teams already with playoff locks or home field locks are still going to do nadda those weeks.

I guess the Texans are kind of pissed that the Jets indirectly shut them out of the playoffs by winning their way in, beating the Bengals. Perhaps they feel they could/should have been playing in the AFC Championship game, against a team they always come oh so close to beating.

That aside, i hope it is the Texans, i'd like to see the Jets soundly beaten on Thanksgiving by a Texans team that should be really good this upcoming year.

We played the Texans this season and they didn't belong on the same field with the Jets.We crushed them hard.....

They are going to adopt an "all division game" schedule for week 17 and possibly for week 16. Hence the delay.

PS they are doing this so teams will have more to play for the final weeks. Forcing them to play their players.

they need to play Miami and Jets IMO most fierce Rival in NFL right now
