We will be spending pretty big in FA and I expect it to be on O Line as well ala Nicks, Staley, etc and they are looking for more speed.


I think we will get a T or G in FA, probably in the first tier, than draft the other in later rounds, I do expect them to bring in a S in FA as he addressed some unhappiness in Safety play.

Give me Dashon Goldson at FS for $500 Alex. Aside from Goldson there isnt a FS that really intrigues me.

At SS I'd keep Bell since its his contract year and continue to groom Reshad Jones (who should have been a SS to begin with and not FS) to take over the year after.

At OG - Nicks will want a MAX contract and we already have a ton invested in the o-line, so I dont know about all that. Id rather let Jerry and a draft pick compete for that spot.

Matt Birk is a free agent this offseason and has a great history with Philbin. That is a name I would watch out for. I know he has always played center but I could see him come in and play OG for us, but he is 35.

Qb,safety and vet reciever in free agency.Build the rest through the draft..these positions are hard to come in and play at a high level most of the times.offensive line and pass rushers just plug em in and let em go..oh and weeden is lookin great in these senior bowl practices.

Decastro would prob be cheaper than Nicks and just as good if not better down the line.

We absolutely have to take care of OL once and for all. This offense will never be great until we do this. We need two guys and then our backups are good enough to start on some teams.

If we do not take care of this, and I am not talking "in the later rounds" is crap mentality often pushed here on Finhell. Every year we go through this and end up bitchin about the OL.

ireland has demonstrated to most everyone's satisfaction that he is clueless about getting OL through the draft, so I say sign 1 big
name in FA and draft OL later on. The way the SMART teams do. Spend elite picks on elite positions instead of ignoring them for cheap linemen like idiots parcells and jj.

Am I the only one that saw progress with Jerry?? I think he took longer than expected to develop...but he is developing. I anticipate that he will be vying for a starting role this coming season.
