What I saw today translates to what I think Saban is bringing to us. The Panthers and Steelers both have one attribute that characterizes them as a team, "toughness". They beat the living crap out of their opponents. It proved them well today and I think this is something Saban has brought to Miami. The types are free agents we will see Saban bring in are hard nosed football players, maybe not the most talented guys but tough guys i.e. Holliday, Traylor, Barnes, Diamond. I think it is time for us to get a hard nosed QB of that nature, I do not think Chris Simms is that guy!

True, true....:dolphins:

Could this be the first thread ever that everybody agrees? I agree with ya, bro.... but I think we need to work on Manny if this theory is correct haha

Can you say Jay Cutler. They are high on him and he plays for Vandy, he's definately a tough a$$.

Although its unlikely, Brett Favre is that tough QB youre looking for. I agree with you though man

Yeah he is, but I think every NFL fan agrees he should stay and retire with GB...

I think that the Bengals were a better team than the Steelers but they lost their starting Qb. I think that translates into the thinking that an average Qb like Kitna or Gus can't win games when they matter the most. I don't care how a tough a team is, the team that executes better usually wins.

good post man
i feel the same

i do feel mcnair is that guy tough QB

I personally think we need a wimpy, soft QB.

Nah, of course everyone agrees with a statement that we want a tough QB. I think that Cutler embodies that so well that I think it might be worth trading to like the 7th pick to get him. I know it sounds nuts, because we would have to give up a lot, but we need a face for this new team.

I think if you take a guy 2nd overall, you expect him to become the face of the franchise, and I think Ronnie Brown will do that once he gets 20-25 carries a game.
