what i think of matt flynn......

being a dolphins fan caught in wisconsin i have seen flynn play alot! from preseason to the couple games in the regular season...let me tell you this.....can you say BUST waiting to happen. i dont post much on here but i sure hope the dolphins dont fall for 1 big game stats and think he can be a superstar in the nfl. if u look at his stats before his 1 big game against det last year....guy had more int in the nfl then tds....ya sounds like a superstar to me...now look at his 6 td performance against det...first td was a 1 yard pass to nelson that he juked out the cb and took it in from 7 yards out...nothing special...2nd td a screen pass to grant that he takes 80...easy pass by flynn nothing special...3rd was a throw up to nelson where nelson out jumped the corner who was in bad position and didnt make a play on the ball...nice play by nelson....4th was the only one that impressed me....hit nelson in stride for a 58 yarder...nice pass but terrible coverage....5 td was a quick slant to driver that he made defenders miss and took it to the house...another easy throw and his wr did all the work...and final td was a quick 4 yard pass to finley...another pretty easy pass.....now i know im looking at it from my perspective...but his wrs were the ones making the plays that day, not him...and if u watched gbs preseason games the past couple seasons flynn has stuggled in those against 2nd and 3rd stringer....to me he = bust.....i think hes the next kevin kolb or for a dolphins reference the next aj feeley...remember that clown!! we dont need to sign a guy like this to a big contract only be going the wrong way in the qb department again for the next 5 years....to me moore is a better qb then flynn...and if we miss out on trading up for someone like griffen....i say let moore play and go all out for barkley next year!
 
And FYI, I agree with this. Flynn and Moore to me are the same QB, and Moore may be better. It's not an upgrade at all. For the record, I'm on the get Manning bandwagon (if healty), and draft a qb in the first round in one of the next two or three drafts.
 
yup i agree...i would love manning if healthy! im from valders...bout 40 mins east of kosh..haha....i be willing to beat your like me and sooo sick of hear packer this and packer that every day...ha thats wis for u!
 
Yeah. I didn't really like the Packers before I moved here from Illinois, but it's shoved down your throat so much up here, I have learned to HATE them.
 
I'm sure Phibin knows who Flynn is better than any other coach and I don't think he would tie his job to a QB that can't get done.
He coached him for 4 years.
 
Fins fan from Oshkosh right here. I am also on the Manning bandwagon if he is healthy for the reasons already stated. Also I didn't think Sherman was anything special when he was head coach. My buddies were telling me his play calling wasn't anything to get excited about.
 
brett favre, mark brunell, matt hasselbeck, aarron rodgers, they were all backups in GB at one time, how did those guys turnout?
 
Philbin will know if he should go after him or not.

Bottom Line: was never in Flynn's camp mostly because of his draft position, college QB'ing predecessors and limited sample, but we have hired (thanksfully so) the only eligible HC who can make an informed decision on Flynn and his ability to launch Philbin's HC career. So if he wants Flynn, IMO it speaks volumes and I'll be onboard.
