1. I put the loss squarely on MY shoulders. I should have focused on the OLine this training camp. I should have put pressure on my Oline coach to get the guys up front ready for NFL caliber football. We will be a different team from this week forward. There will be no "time off" for the guys who had a rough day. Defense will get a rest. Offense will come in for double work.

2. Damian McIntosh will be starting in place of Wade Smith, who will be moved to back up right tackle.

3. Vernon Carey will get the start at Right Tackle, with John St. Clair, moving over to back up left tackle. Carey played well and the blocking on the line improved when he came into the game last week. We need guys in there who have an "urgent" attitude.

4. Randy McMichael's outburst should be commended. Sam Madison's should be amended.

5. I (this is Dave speaking) have complete confidence in AJ Feely. He made some mistakes, but he also hung in there despite a lot of obstacles and he WILL get better. AJ is our starter for THE REST OF THE SEASON. I will not make a change here unless there is an injury. He has the full confidence of the coaching staff.

6. The team will be running wind sprints for the penalties they committed. 20 per infraction while the guilty player watches. Maybe this will get a little fire and accountablility into the minds of my players.

7. The Oline will be serving dinner to the rest of the team the rest of the week, because they OWE everyone else a ton.

8. Leonard Henry will get the start and Lamar Gordon will back up until he knows the playbook and runs with confidence.

9. AJ Feely will be instructed to look deep. This will be accompanied by a challenge to the new Oline (McIntosh, James, McKinney, Whitley, Carey). Give our guy a chance to throw the ball.

10. Larry Chester partially tore his ACL, but he'll be back for the playoffs, when we make it in. The rest of our injured players will be back next week: Bowens, Surtain, Konrad, Howard, Morris, McIntosh and Minor. That will help us.

11. Finally, I want to state for all the world right now, that we are not a bad football team. Our Defense is outstanding and they should a lot of heart yesterday playing on pure guts. The Offense needs to step up and they will. I will find Five linemen who have enough pride to play hard for the full sixty minutes.

I hope he says this, but I doubt he will.

Have you been partying with Ricky?

I love your ideas, but there is no way DW has the ... lets just say guts, to say all that.

I love all of it. We can only wish this will happen.

I admire your passion and agree with your comment that your D is outstanding but when you start talking about Leonard Henry and that you are going to make the playoffs !:roflmao: :roflmao:

All good points. You forgot to mention that Brightful was really dim looking and should be replaced as a KR/PR.

Frightful as he was called last night did earn that name.. he had one Good break that almost made up for it.

forget the public announcement, I just want to see Wanny punish those that are not carrying the load..

Lets make them accountable for their mistakes..

What I want to hear out of Wanny : I am leaving the Dolphins to join the New England Patriots.

I love it except
8. Leonard Henry will get the start and Lamar Gordon will back up until he knows the playbook and runs with confidence.
Who the hell could run with confidence if you dont have a hole. I think gordon is better than henry.

Sad for you that your team is 2-0 and you still will not make the playoffs!

There is NO WAY Dave would say that! If for no other reason then you didn't use the word "Standpoint" even once. We all know that won't happen.

"Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs. Are you kidding me? Playoffs?" :shakeno:

The Jeopardy Answer --

Things Coach Dave would never say as a Dolphin?

Your observations are right-on. The problem is with the people who seem blinded to the right-on'dedness of the Points of Contention. Who, watching last night, would want to be a part of this team? Defense? Of course -- but team? I'm telling you that I, at age 40 and 262 medium soft pounds, could have fielded punts better that Brightful. Even if it's to wave my hand in the air and simply catch the ball. Now do you think Parcells would have Brightful on his team today? The message from this Coaching Staff is it's OK to suck at your position because nobody's accountable. Fumble, or mishandle the ball on virtually every opportunity you have to field punts or kicks -- just try harder and I'll put you back in the game. Why is the defense playing with so much passion and the offense scratching their heads on most of the plays I watched.

What happened to toss-left, toss-right -- pull a guard, pull a tackle? Our screen passes are the only play that can virtually guarantee a loss of yardage. Just don't call it. Period. Move the fricking hole if you can't run through it. I'm so disappointed I'm just shaking my head at the squandered opportunity here to be a force in the NFL.
