Well I have been bummed like crazy after the loss of our beloved Ronnie Brown. But the season must go on and with a good showing by Kory Sperry last week giving us some hope at the TE spot and with the loss of Ronnie i think we should try out Kory Sheets.

Now with 2 TE sets and Fasano out Sperry will be the guy out on routes and hopefully he finds more voids his presence may give us a better and well rounded passing game.

As for Sheets i just want to see this kid i have seen video and MAN is this kid a playmaker, maybe not at an NFL level yet but he hasnt been given a try. I know many of you want Hillard which is fine but in my mind has is a less talented Ricky who just puts his head down makes is one cut and then bowls his way to a finish. Sheets i think could help in the passing game as he seems to have good hands and he is a Sproles type of guy shifty and FAST except he is 5'11 205 which allows him to finish with power. Sheets has had time with the team and should be able to run 15-20 plays out there.

I know its just probably wishful thinking on my part wanting to see Sheets but i do think Sperry will make a handful of catches tonight which might make the difference in this game.

Thought? Opinions?

If we going to run screen passes, I'd rather it be Sheets than Bess....

Yeah i mean Bess is elusive but Sheets is elusive then BOOOM he is gone...and i am not askign for him to get half the snaps i think Ricky should get over half and Hillard and Sheets should split what remains and if one gets hot then stick with him.....it is time to find out what kinda chops these guys have

I'm concered about his blocking on a 2 TE set. He made some good catches though. I'm really hoping he works out for us.

I think they said Fasano was still out. If that is the case, Haynos would be starting.

I would like to Sheets get some playing time. But, I cant shake the notion that there was a reason he wasnt drafted. I am just reminiding myself that neither was Preist Holmes.......so anything can happen

Sheets could be very helpful on 3rd downs. Playing at Purdue, he played his entire career in a shotgun and he is a good blocker/receiver.

All i want a w and i do not care who plays or how bad or good they play as long at the end the day i can say to Patriot fan *** hole brother we won we are coming to become afc east champs once again. LETS GO .500! 5-5 LETS DO THIS!

I would love to see how Hilliard/Sheets do, but not at the cost of a Win. This being said i think they will be sprinkled in, and Ricky will do most of the work.

Last week we had at least 6 players play on offense that weren't drafted.. And they all played significant roles in the game:

Lou Polite
Davone Bess
Nate Garner
Kory Sperry
Joey Haynos
Dan Carpenter

Polite was great in that game, as Sparano mentioned many times.. Garner did an admirable job filling in for Smiley.. Haynos made key blocks in the running game and has been relied upon more for that since Fasano has been out, and he's done all you can ask from him this season.

Bess made the key catches late in the game to move in for the winning FG.. And Sperry caught key catches in that game, including a TD catch. And Carpenter kicked the winning FG

Edit- Garner was drafted in the 7th round by our friends in NY.. Which is no big deal. If they didn't pick him so late, there is no guarantee he'd be drafted.

Kory Sheets was seen by many scouting services to be 4th round material.. But there was some attitude questions. It wasn't because of lack of ability why he wasn't drafted.

I want to see both play well more want to see hilliard in a real game.
