it is a possibility. and the Dolphins only public comment thus far has been to remind the world they only make deals contingent on the payer in question passing his physical...

so, to play devils advocate here: lets pretend DC fails his physical? what does the team do at that point?

McCown is still on the market as far as I know, and Matt Schaub is still a trade possibility- although giving up more than we gave up for Culpepper for a guy with not near as high a ceiling doesn't exactly make me salivate, although I do like Schaub a lot.

We go back to the plan we had before these QBs became available: groom a rookie behind Gus. Although now that Brees is with NO, there may be one of the big 3 QBs available at 16.

Sirius radio guys think maybe if he fails his physical that we may go back and adjust the compensation i.e. 2nd rd pick to something less than that. perhaps a 3rd next year that could become a 2nd if he throws for 3000 yards or somethign like that.

What happens if Nick Saban gets in a fatal car crash on the way over to watch the physical?

What, exactly, do you expect a physical of Daunte Culpepper to entail? Do you expect him to run or something? His knee is going to be taken into consideration.

If he fails i will stay off Finheaven until a month after we get a new qb, send AJ and all the other mods each a case of tyleno and antacids for what will transpire

Id imagine the only way he fails a physical while rehabing a significant knee injury is if he shows up without a leg.

I posted this in an earlier thread that pushed down the list during all the mayhem that was going on. This is my biggest concern, as we will be back to square one looking for backups to start for us again.

I imagine he's going to pass the physical, the question is how far along is he in rehab.
As serious as his injury is I'ld question if he will be able to play at the NFL level by the start of the season.

my initial post stated i was playing devils advocate. of course i understand that the knee will be taken into consideration. i see why you call yourself a troll.

i will throw a real world possibility at you: a 250 pounds QB who has been unable to condition may show up to for his physical around 290 or 300 pounds. the Vikings wouldnt let us examine him prior to the agreement, even though he has been in Orlando all along.

This board will shut down if he fails. Nobody will be able to control you crazy *** people, not even the admins.
