What if Lemon plays better than.....

Harrington. Will he get the start if Culpepper is not ready for game one? Harrington could flourish in Sabans offense and would he get to keep his starting job if he keeps winning. IMO he will be benched as soon as Culpepper is ready to go no matter what he does. I would like to see Lemon get a chance at #2 and trade Harrington next year or make him #3.:dolphins::dolphins:
 
Oh Geez!!! Can we atleast let Training Camp start before we start with more of these "what ifs" scenarios? Lemon may have shown improvement but obviously not enough for the staff to be confindent in him being the #2 QB at the moment.
 
Lemon would have to do some amazing things in the preseason and Harrington would have to completely collapse in the preseason for Lemon to get the starting nod. First off, Lemon has no regular season experience, Harrington does. Secondly, Harrington will be going up against starting defenses in the preseason, Lemon will be going up against the backups. I guess there is a slim chance Lemon could beat out Harrington, but it is VERY slim. Don't count on it.
 
well, it would be ok if Cleo played better as long as Harrington was playing good. That would bode well for us. Harrington has to play well in order to increase his value. I think he will get an honest shot at running the first unit and be able to showcase himself. This is in everyones interest.
 
We just got Harrington, can we see what he can do for us first, then talk trade next offseason.

I am not counting on Lemon doing anything but he probaly knows the offense better than Joey. Do you think that Saban brought in Lemon to be the Fins #3?:dolphins:
 
Harrimgton wont play bad because many reasons, he wants to be the #1 QB, thing that didn't have in Detroit, he knew that position was fully filled by him, now he "thinks" he can beat Culpepper, but he has pressure on him...

Next, Harrington is surrounded by talent and people who cares about other players...

So, if you ask me, he will give more than his 100% in each game...

Backup QB is Harrington's to keep or lose. If Saban was sold on Lemon, he wouldn't have gone after Harrington. It appears Lemon, Berlin, or Holland is the third string. One will probably be kept on the practice squad.

IT ONLY MAKES SENSE, NOT WISHFUL THINKING OR HARRINGTON HATER.

Yes. Otherwise he would have just signed someone like Maddox instead of trading for Harrington.

Great post and I totally agree. Cleo will be in there batlling, and I think he will do well.:wink:
 
Well if you look at his past, Harrington is not that good a QB...period.

Would be much of a "shock" if Lemon out plays him? Not in my opinion.
