For all you doomsayers that think the whole team should be set on fire and the franchise disolved...

Let me ask you this....

If we had a QB that could have a consistent 85+ QB rating....

Would we have beat:

The:

Jets, Bills, Falcons, Patriots?

How bout the outcome of the Bucs and Chiefs games? Both games featured horrific QB play....

Would we have?

If you say yes.....then that means that we would be a 7-3 football team and therefore....NOT be a bad team.

So I REPEAT.....the problem with this team starts and ends with our QB play.

The other problems with this team are cosmetic really...nothing terminal....our problem at the QB position is ten times worst than any other on this team.

We have a CB problem that keeps getting bigger and bigger....not as big as QB....but...its there like a pimple on prom night.

No, you're completely wrong...We have many more problems than the QB position. We have inconsistent play FROM EVERY position on our team. We have WRs that drop balls and can't make the big play (TE too). We have an offensive line, while improving, commits too many mental mistakes in critical positions (ie red zone). We have a defense that has no will and is continually ill-prepared at the beginning of the game. We an offensive coach that tends to stray away from what this team does best. We have a defensive coach (Saban, not so much R. Smith) that loves to blitz and put our weakness (DBs) out on an island to cover people. We have a kicker, once the most accurate in NFL history, that seems to have trouble being consistent within 35 yards...We're old and injury prone on defense and young and stupid on offense = a VERY, VERY Poor team...

I agree. If we get a good QB, we will have a good offense. You can't base our offense on what happened today. Today was a freak game.

Also, happy 1 day last birthday Section. We share the same birthday. :)

Agreed 100% Section.
ditto

our secondary nereds a lot of work too. But the QB position is far and away our biggest deficiency.

Great observation. I've been saying the same all year long. In this era of free agency, the buzzword for QBs has been "manager."

F that. I want a QB who will MAKE plays to win the game, not just some average QB the coach pats on the back and says, "just don't lose it for us..." We've dealt with that crap for 6 years now.

Damon Huard
Jay Fiedler
Ray Lucas
Brian Greise

That's what we've had for 6 years. And so many fans wonder why we haven't gone anywhere...

we can fix up CB through FA by picking up a high priced big named mo fo like clement evne tho that wont happen.

I don't see it. I see the receivers dropping far too many catchable passes.

The QB problem is definitely the main issue plagueing us right now, but as others have mentioned the Defensive Back core isn't looking too strong either. Hopefully we will be able to obtain a solid QB either through the draft or free agency. I know a couple good free agent QB's are coming out. Brooks and Culpepper I believe?

Happy B-day to you too. Have noticed that the Dolphins always lose the week of our birthday's? LOOK IT UP....it's true.
