I keep coming back to that pick and wondering why we snagged him. The only thing that makes sense is for the wildcat. When we run it we stagger the line to the right which means the LT and RT are on the same side. A TE then goes on the left side. Maybe Nalbone is a better blocker than any of our other TEs and we got him so he could be the left side of the wildcat to protect Pat White or whoever else we put out there. You have to have a TE there because the player there is an eligible receiver.
What if we are adding wrinkles to the wildcat and that's why we wanted Nalbone?

fasano is a more developed blocker, and a better pass catcher..
nalbone was drafted because all of our TE's become FA's after this year.
