I would imagine that our next coach we try to sign will be one who has probably interviewed with more than one team this off-season. Could you imagine if we get left at the altar again by some second level coordinator? Oh my!, do you think Ross and Ireland might be gun shy at this point. I mean really, who is to say Tampa or Oakland could offer Philbin or Zimmer a counter deal after we do? Yikes... Just when I thought this couldn't get more embarrassing it has potential to. I sure hope not! I am not in panic mode but I sure wish we could start getting 2012 staff assembled very soon.

First, I think it's really unlikely. Second, it's not the end of the world. You'd think we'd be used to it by now, really.

Depending whom it might be, I either could feel awful being one-upped by a lesser team like the rams or TB on Zimmer, or as in the case of Fisher, breathe a sigh of relief.

Either way, I'm way past caring what the agenda-driven national media, basement bloggers... or our local numbnuts think or write.

I'm hoping they are just finalizing their search here soon. As the longer they wait, the more chances of another offering the job to someone before we even figure out who we want.

Left at the altar again? The bride probably shouldn't be wearing a white dress if she turns us down. Chances are she's been courted by many other teams and can't figure out who the daddy is

None of the candidates really knock my socks off. I am starting to think we are doomed no matter who we pick, or should I say, whoever picks us.

We are ensuring that we interview all qualified candidates is quickly translating to we are becoming the poster child on how to run a franchise improperly

I hope we do...our best chance at getting a good coach is ending up with someone these morons really don't want...

I don't consider the Fisher to St. Louis situation as embarrassing so you and I already disagree

I think some of you are just paranoid. Harbaugh was never going to leave California. Fisher chose the Rams because Ross had a power structure plan and Fisher wanted much more, plus his agent's son runs the Rams. Let's not act like these guys turned down the Dolphins because they view Ross badly, not true at all. Fisher WANTED the Dolphins job, Ross just wouldn't give him the insane amount of power he wanted.

Whoever they identify from the coordinator field as who they want will be named the coach. These guys are first time head coaches, so they are not looking for full control or a big pay day. If Ross says he wants Zimmer, he will get Zimmer.

I hope you are right. I still wonder if he (Ross) has something up his sleeve with a big time coach.
