Saban was the coach of the 2002 dolphins that beat that amazing Raiders team, and missed the playoffs w/ Wannsteadts conservatism in the final 2 games. Man I honestly believe we had the best team in football that year, even better than the Bucs, we had like seven pro bowlers, Ricky ran for like 1800 yards, we had a killer defense and we didn't even make the playoffs. I think we are in the bowl with the Bucs for sure if Saban or pretty much anybody else is our coach.

Thoughts?

Why did you bring this up??? LOL. Every time I think of this I want to cry. Damn Wanstedt. I know Saban wouldn't have let the same thing happen.

I remember the finale against New England. That was brutal when Jamar Fletcher got called for that BS pass interferance call late. We blew an 11 point lead with 4 minutes to play. Ouch, tough times.

That seriously was the worst call I've ever seen.

Fletcher was horrible, but my God was that a horrible, horrible mistake by the ref.

Well, lemme see....

We would of had a different quarterback. We would of had a different and larger coaching staff, with a few still remaining. We would had a different running back. We wouldn't make ridiculous trades. Heck, we would probably been in the Super Bowl.

I still remember it to this day. Streaking down the sideline the recieve pretty much tripped up himself and I remember seeing the zebra pull the flag. I've never been that angry in my life I don't think.

Wanny didn't cost Miami the playoffs those final 2 games. Mare missing a FG late in NE and the defense not making a tackle cost us the Pats game. The week before the defense not protecting a 4th quarter lead cost us the game. The players on the field missing tackles and not making plays cost Miami those final 2 games, not coaching.

I think it was actually a 17 point lead.

The more I hear about that game the more I am glad I didn't watch it. I couldn't even stand to watch a replay of it on NFL Network.

Yeah I don't remember exactly. You could be right, I just remember blowing the big lead with little time left and the horrible call on Fletcher.

now I remember, 18 pt lead with 4 min to go

If mare makes a FG then its looked up. If the defense makes 1 friggin stop we win. Lot of blame in that one but really not on Wanny for that specific game.

Not me. The worst was the Chambers TD catch against the Jets, I think it was that year, that got called back. The ref said he had control of the ball, was in bounds, but it wasn't a TD. Anyone else remember this?
