Lets say we were somehow guaranteed that Stanton would be there for the Dolphins to select in the second or third round, and lets also say that Quinn doesn't get selected in the first 8 picks and is available to us at 9.

Do we select Quinn at 9 or do we go elsewhere with the pick and settle with Stanton?

If Quinn has the higher grade on Mueller/Cam's draft board, you draft Quinn. If Stanton is rated higher then you either draft Quinn and trade him later for players and/or draft picks or you pass on him and select someone like Levi Brown.

Dude.......Staton is garbage I'll rather get Troy Smith.....for Real:evil:

We can guess all we want, but in the end, it just doesn't get any more realistic than this.

if that doesnt happen ill still be happy in the end cause well still end up with a good player at pick #9... I think.

we better get that SS from LSU LaRon Landry this guy could play i think we could even trade down and still get someone good for the secondary that is all our defence needs to get rejuvinated
like what bob sanders does for the colt

If we could get Stanton in round 3 for sure, i'd pass on Quinn at 9 and go after Brown or maybe one of the safeties(or whatever top tier pick is left). However, if I had to use a 2nd rounder on Stanton I would prefer we just take Quinn at #9. Quinn is a better pick at #9 than Stanton at #40 IMO.

What if we totally ignore the second coming of Joey Harrington aka Drew Stanton and drafted a good player instead? Also what if Quinn goes in the top 8 like most expect him to and the Dolphins draft Levi Brown, a player they actually need?

Just putting out some what ifs here :/.

Brown seems like a strectch at #9. If thats who they want, which would seem like a fine pick, they may as well trade down to get some more picks. Since the draft is pretty well loaded there might be a few takers, especially for any jumpy GMs who really want their hands on Ted Ginn and dont want to risk waiting.

Brown is more than worth #9 at this point. Not a stretch at all.
