Just bored and thought Id give a brief write up on what im expecting and wondering :)
QB- Im not sure if Daunte will see any time but I really hope he does, not because I dont trust Harrington but because I dont want his first game situation to be vs Pitt in their home stadium. Im also wondering if Harrington is doing as bad as all the reports say
RB- Ronnie Brown is the #1 no suprise, but Id like to see if Travis Minor can push Morris for the #2 spot, Minor was always a good Backup to Ricky he just wasnt made to be an every down back
WR- The #3 WR spot, Hagan, Welker, or Campbell will be the man most likely unless someone really lights it up, Campbell seems to have the inside track as of now but Im going to predict Hagan and Campbell share the spot depending on certain plays and formations
TE- McMichael is a top TE but we really need to see what we have behind him...what if he goes down? Im a Teyo Johnson fan but we have heard nearly nothing of him so far, hopefully he can be a solid backup
O-Line- I want to see them in for extended minutes....I know you dont want guys getting hurt but the new additions really need to get on the same page and gel
D-Line - Manny Wright and Matt Roth....simple as that, hopefully they will step up and prove to be a valuable part of the D-line rotation
LB- Hodge has all the tools to be a starter but his head isnt in the right place....Spragan played very well filling in for Zach at times last year, and Newman should bring something good to the table for us
Secondary - I want to see some extended minutes for these guys to, Again you dont want anyone hurt, but we are almost brand new in this area and they really need to gel some
Kicker- Can mare go back to what he was 2-3 years ago? I dont think he has been bad the last couple years but I know he can be better
Punter- Can Donnie continue what he did last year or will he fall of the face of the earth?
KR- Campbell and Welker should be fighting for the kick return duties, Welker has better vision, Campbell has game breaking speed, so we will see what happens
PR- Welker has this one in the bag IMO, he isnt the fastest but he makes great decisions
Well thats what im looking for, the record wont matter to me so much as how we play and what we prove we are capable of, how the starters gel etc
What are you guys looking for?
