Just wondering weather Daunte is realsed or traded what everyone thinks he is worth on the open market? Draft picks, Trades, money any combination you like. This is not a pro or anti DC thread, just a question to kinda get an idea of what everyone thinks his value is.

I think if Im a GM who has a team who is weak at the QB position and thinks he fits into my scheme, I`ld offer him no signing bonus, league minium with many salary based incentives: such as paying him per games started, qb percentage, td passes, making it into the play offs, making it to the superbowl. Ild look to make all the incentives incorporated to transulate into a 7 or 8 million dollar contract. I think I`ld stay away from incentives based on MVP or probowls only because they oppion oriented votes. Ild stick to things like mentioned above maybe passing yards stuff like that. In other words produce and get paid, get hurt or flop, live with your 1/2 million salary.

Hes an aging quarterback with bad knee. A has been. a 5th at best.

I would be thrilled with a 5th, but am expecting a 6th or 7th.

We're not gonna get anything for him but once he gets healthy he'll easily be worth a second.

Its only a matter of time before he gets picked up and starts torching opposing teams, too bad that that has been our luck for a while now.

Aging? A qbs prime is in their early 30's.

He's not worth much now because most teams already have concrete plans in place for that position. He would have to go to a team that's running an offense he knows, the jags or the rams.

6th or 7th just get a pick out of the deal is fine.... sometime you win and sometime you lose. we need to move on cp will never win a superbowl as a qb in nfl... i give cp all credit in world for trying to comeback but he is still hurt and coach doesnot have time to wait on player that are getting paid like he is. the best thing is to sign w a team like detroit and sit the bench this yr and be ready to go next yr and compete for a starting job

i dont think he is worth anything to tell the truth we gave up why to much for him

i dont think we would be able to pull anything more than a 7th maybe that can turn into a 6th for daunte at this point. with daunte now requesting to be released i think that teams will wait and hold off trade offers. none of the potential suitors for daunte are in desperate need of his needs to come in and be a starter therefore would rather wait than trade for him now and have to bring over the luggage of his large contract.

I would be very surprised if the Dolphins get anything for him.

The Phins will probably end up releasing him and I would also be surprised if he gets signed and sticks with another NFL team.

I hear the CFL is calling his name.......

Bye Bye Daunte, thanks for nothing.
