its Frerotte, and instead of looking at career stats, you should be more concerned with his 2003 stats while in the offense that he'll be playing in for the next 2 years

here are some good articles:

Gus had a great 3 game run against 3 bad teams, Atl (5-11), Det (5-11), and SF (7-9).

As others have stated, unless you have Moss (5 of his 7 TD passes) and the 2003 Viking offense (#1 total yards, #4 rushing, #4 passing, & #6 scoring) we should expect a non-Vikes Frerotte of 70 TDs & 65 INT's.

Proper English...what are Gus Frerotte's all time stats.

We may not get a non-Vikes Frerotte. Do the math here:

Moss >> Chambers (who for arguments sake we'll call our #1)
Booker> Burleson
Boston> Robinson
McMichael>Wiggins
Kleinsasser>Morris
Ronnie, Ricky, Gordon >>Bennett, Moore, Whizzanator Smith, Fason

Our overall weapons are at least as good as minny if not slightly better.

Frerotte only had one impressive season while starting in 1996 with 57.4%, 3453 yards, 12 TD's and 11 INT's. I'm pretty sure that was the year he made Pro Bowl.

Also, I remember reading somewhere around here before... but can anyone confirm if it's true that he has never lost a fumble in his ENTIRE career?

1 impressive season out of 2 as a FT starter and 1 pro bowl appearance a half decade ago still puts him light years ahead of Aj imo. :ears:

We Still Have To Give Aj Sometime To Prove Himself If He Struggles Like He Did Last Year But I Belive He Won't Then We Think About Old Guss Maybe.

Gus Frerotte briefly held the Denver Broncos all time record for the most yards thrown in a single game by a Bronco......more yards in a single game than John Elway ever had...I think it was around 490 yards against San Diego?,,,,,then Jake Plummer beat his record. I got to watch Gus play a few times in person at Mile High, and he was always expected to be the next Elway, just like Brian Griese was expected to be the "heir apparent." Gus played well in Denver but he seemed to have games where he make some bad throws...reminded me a little of Ears Fiedler. I think Gus is a little bit better than Feeley and knows the system better, but hopefully Saban will see who is best in training camp and not play musical chairs at QB like Wanny did last year.

I wouldn`t say we have better overall weapons. Booker, Boston, McMike may rate a slight edge, but those Viking teams had Moss, and that`s a HUGE edge.
