What is our cap situation?

I am almost positive that the rookie poll is figured in to the cap before march 1st. When we heard that we were 4.5 that was after figuring what the rooies would cost. I asked the Dolphin moderator on the main site last year about this, and he said they calculate what the draft pick will cost by comparing them to the previous years same #pick, and adding in inflation and give that # to the nfl in their final cap # on march 1st.

The rookie pool isn't assigned until after draft day. The number of choices and where a team selects is part of the formula needed to determine rookie pool. Rookie pool is part of the overall salary cap
