What is the story with Fred Taylor?

I just read today that Jack Del Rio was on a radio show and he said Taylor could be back into training camp and could play next preseason game.

I am confused because I thought he was supposed to have a major injury possibly holding him out most of the season.

Any news?

No no no. Taylor is on the road to recovery. He's been practicing with the team all training camp. They were just going to hold him out of all the preseason games & give him a light load in week 1. He's been progressing quicker as of late but still expect them to take it easy with Freddy until the middle of September.
