The Miami Dolphins are having one of their most memorable seasons of late. Many stories defined Miami's season.
Here are the top stories that shaped the 2016 Miami Dolphins so far:

1. Hiring of Adam Gase as head coach

2-Trading for Kiko Alonso and Byron Maxwell

3-Drafting Laremy Tunsil

4: Ajayi's breakout season

5 Arian Foster’s surprise retirement

6-Jones' Injury ouch that hurts!

7-Cam Wake turns back the clock

8-Tannehill's injury

9- Thaaaa streak...winning streak that is!

10- Playoffs !!!!!!!!

am I missing anything here ?

The surprise is 10-5 and clinched for a playoff spot before the last regular season game. Doubt anybody truly anticipated that.

But I'm going to give Jay Ajayi some love here. Nobody thought this kid would do what he is doing . . . especially after being left in Miami after the first week of the season. The season he is having will go down as one of the great seasons for any Miami Dolphins player in team history.

Playoffs.

Everything else is tied for second.

That's easy. The story of the 2016 season has been the fans and their new stadium.

This season has been for and about us getting what we deserve. Although the ultimate prize might not be coming this season, I have a better feeling than ever that we might be seeing multiple prizes in the near future.

Additionally, from here on out let's pretend like Arian Foster was never a Dolphin.....please.

- Adam Gases success in just his first year

- First playoff appearance since `08

- Jay Ajayis breakout season

- Maturation of Ryan Tannehill

- Season sweep of the Jets and the Bills

- Back to back come from behind wins on the West Coast

The purging of the dead weight from the Oline.

1. New coach successful in first year on board

2. Ajayi running the ball like it's still the 1970's

3. Tannehill showing he is ready to lead the team in this chapter

I have to agree that the playoffs is tops, but at an extremely close 2nd, the thought of after hiring Gase, thinking Miami might have found a {The Real Deal} HC, and what that may mean for this team in the future, it really makes me very excited.

Dallas Thomas finally cut and J-train breakthrough

A coach who is both intelligent and will work people hard resulting in turning a weak assed team that people dominate up front into a more hard nosed team. Playoffs to me is nice but we aren't going to win the Superbowl this year, to actually have a coach that is looking top tier is the top story to me.

I don't know if any of it happens without Adam Gase so I'd put his hiring first. Jay Ajayi's breakout year has also been amazing considering the team was looking to sign a veteran running back in the offseason and Ajayi didn't show much last season or in the preseason. Amazing year for the J-Train.
