Ricky Williams!!! I must admit the last couple of years I was a little down on Ricky, it just seemed like to me that he wasn't as tough as he used to be. He was slipping a lot trying to turn the corner and seemed to go down easily on too many plays, but man this preseason he sure has been running hard. It's like the guy is really out to prove something he's finishing off runs better than I personally have seen in a Long time, and he's punishing tacklers.
Sean Smith: We all know why, the kid is a gamer. I think he will struggle at times this season though mainly on shorter timing routes where the ball is zipped in there but if you float a ball in this kids direction it's a mistake.
Pass Rush: JT, JP, Anderson, Moses, Wake, Langford, McDaniel, damn near everybody that plays LB or on the DL has been terrorizing QB's.
Not So Impressive.....
The OL: They have struggled way too much for the entire preseason. I think this unit will be just fine once they gel and get their stuff together but the team can't afford for them to take too long to do so.
RUN D: Hasn't looked very good, but I have a feeling it may be because the pass rushers are just pinning their ears back and flying to the QB on pretty much every play. Their mindset seems to be "you may get some runs on us but your QB is going to pay for it if you decide to pass" I think this area improves a lot during the regular season.
ST's: No explaination needed!
