I read that if Green contributes to 70% of the offense, then Miami will have to give up a 4th round pick instead of a 5th. Of course, this is all calculated at the end of the year, I'm sure, but what are they looking for with respect to the 70%? I'd hate to give up a 4th; didn't even want to give them a 5th. I feel, not so much to screw KC, but we do have a potential starting QB in Beck and I feel we should give him a quarter or so during every game. We bring him along slowly yet he gets good quality time, time that counts. Doesn't even have to be a full quarter - but yet, when the game has already been decided, I think he should be in. And don't no one tell me that it would bring "bad blood" between the two teams. We have to worry about the development of Beck, not be concerned about KC's "feelings." Please tell me what you all think and let me know what I'm missing, what I don't see, etc. Thanks.

70% is equal to 11.2 games. We would need to take Green out too many games. I guess it depends how our season is going but I am almost ready to bet its a 4th round pick.

70% is a little more than 11 games. We should know after the 11th game whether we have a shot at the playoffs or not. If not, we sit TG and get Lemon and Beck in to see what we have for next year and leave it at a 5th round pick to KC!!

If Green is on the field for 70% of the offensive snaps, we pay a 4th.

Its theoretically possible that Green plays 12 or even 13 games and doesnt reach the 70%, but EXTREMELY unlikely.
In the games Green plays we would have to have very few offensive plays. A lot of 3 and outs by us and a lot of sustained drives by our opponents. Then, in the few remaining games that Green is not on the field, the opposite happens. We have a lot of long methodical drives while our opponent has a lot of 3 and outs.
For all practical purposes though, if Green plays 11 games, we give up a 4th.

The solution is simple: direct snaps to Ten Ginn ten times a game. If Green's snap count gets too high, make it twenty. Damn Kansas City to Buffalo!

Thanks everyone. Appreciated very much. Well, maybe our defense can step up and give us the points we need and then we can interchangably use our QB's as we see fit. I, too, hate to give them a 4th. They really got to me when they had the balls to ask for 2nd. They must think that Wanny and Saban still work here. . .

IMO the only way he is worth a 4th is if we make the playoffs, or Beck becomes a great QB and thanks Green for everything.

Hopefully, if Green contributes 70% of our offense, it'll mean we're doing good.
Hopefully.
