True.one size doesn't fit all in any application IMO -- so stuff like this is essentially (IMO) a designed pitch the presenter is using to sell "something." Beyond that -- a lot of folks like simple answers to very complex questions -- and are therefore easliy misled.
I agree with Uncle Ray's feedback with one qualifier -- doesn't matter how far you can "push it" and extend yourself if (IF) your baseline of performance is insufficient to do the job. You can have all the mental tuffness, resolve and "heart" in the universe but if you're 5'6" and run a 5.4 forty you ain't never (NEVER) gonna be an NFL WR!
As with everything else -- there are no absolute answers (certainties) -- only tendencies and probabilities.

True. But on the same hand, the person that's been on a successful team, led a successful team, etc... doesn't necessarily think they "have all the answers", but I doubt anyone who's been part of that knows less than the clown in the stands with no background and no successful team experience.Agree; Anyone who claims to have all the answers is full of sh**
There's lots of types of teams. I like this list for football but maybe not as much for other types. I'd put coaching, execution, perseverance on the top for football on this list. What makes the best teams are Speed, Strength, Execution, Coaching, Player Talent, Luck and Perserverance! ( Not necc. in that order.)

I agree with this order too. Bum Philips (RIP) once said about Shula - "he could take his'n and beat your'n..and then take your'n and beat his'n". Or something like that. Anyway, that's why great coaches like Shula rarely had losing seasons....I'd put coaching, execution, perseverance on the top for football on this list.
