i will not say i am the biggest dolphin fan because it's a cliche...however what makes someone a big fan of the team....i'm probably as big of a fan as the person who has the most posts on this site...however i rarely post...I'd just like to know what you guys thought of what makes you become a big fan...later days

How about only missing a snap or 2 of your teams games in almost 25 years. Does that make me a fanatic or just plain Dolphin crazy? LOL. Friends & family members don't dare call during a game and after a loss they don't call or come over until Wednesday so I can cool down from my meltdown.

When you at Qualcomm Stadium surrounded by 30,000 other Dolphin fans and you don't have to go far for a high five! Just being around great Dolphin fans, and talking with them on Finheaven does it for me.

Going to Seau's the day before the game, and being able to have a beer and good conversation with Dolphin fans that you never met before.:D

i was born a dolphins fan... but The rich history, Don Shula, and Dan Marino made me a big fan honestly....... everything after that is just more logs on the fire til we win the big one.

I became a fan back in the early 70's. I think it was because when your a little kid, you go for the team that is popular and winning. When the Dolphins were making their run, I was at the age of 6-7 and at that age you don't pull for a team that goes 2-12. Born in Kansas, I should be a Chiefs fan, but I'am not. I've been to Arrowhead a good 15-20 times and it's a great place to watch a game. I've seen the Dolphins play there 3 times, won in 1981, and lose in 1991 and 2002. However, I'am 2-0 here in Denver, 1999 and 2002. I should be 2-1 because I missed the game in 2004. I'am 0-1 in Dallas (1999) and I have no reason to ever go back to that place. Cowboy fans are @@@holes. KC fans are just stupid and as Ron White says......"you can't fix stupid".

This type of thread pops up every so often, but its a good one.

I am a "big" fan, because of the amount of time during the day that I think/daydream about the Dolphins. Its totally unquantifiable, but they occupy a large part of my brain very often.

That, and I haven't missed watching a game in a long, long time.

i along like many people here was just born into the tradition, having all of my family from miami and going to games for as long as i can remember has always made being a dolphins fan part of who i am, everyone i know knows me as a die hard dolphins fan and im proud of it......every time i watch a dolphins game i get nervous and my palms get sweety but i love it its the love for the game, the dolphins in a sense are safe they are always there to watch no matter what the circumstances you can always follow them as your team forever its something that wont come and bye the dolphins are here to stay

We had another cake aswell but that one was mine.

I may not be the biggest fan but I am 6'2" and 200+ lbs (no fat). So I can hold my own. And my general well-being in the world is related to how the Dolphins are currently doing. Feels good to have gotten out my Wanny-depression and experience some Saban-bliss.

Dolphan since 1994 when i started watching....the dolphin was my fav. animal ..lol

I took a job transfer to Miami, from Oregon - back in 1983. It was supposed to be for 6 months. Just lucky I guess - got to watch probably the best season of Offense in NFL history which was 1984. Man those games at the Orange Bowl were great... I wound up staying in South Florida 5 years :)
