The Miami Dolphins have been one of the laughing stock teams in the NFL and to be honest i'm sick and tired of it. The first things we need to do is get rid of T-Baum. I just realized he screwed us in the 2017 draft and Im sure you die hard fans see more.

Miami needs to restructure Pouncey he is being paid like a top center in the NFL and he is not. To me it's common sense. Restructure Albert he has clearly lost a step at LT and we already have Tunsil. He is being paid as a one of the top LT's in the NFL and he is not even near that. Plug in him at guard. Restructure Tannehill he is clearly not worth half of the amount he is being paid. I would get a new QB in the draft but right now I don't see one at this time. Restructure Wake he is not worth 8 million a year. I would keep him because he brings a locker room leadership quality to the team.
Cut Mario Williams, Misi, and Maxwell. They are not worth their contract and are just average players on this team and i'm being very nice. Sign Jarvis Landry to a long term contract. It's obvious he plays with heart and passion every play and you can get him cheaper before he hits the market. Re-sign Kiko Alonso he is ranked 3rd in the NFL in tackles with 50. Do you move him to weakside LB and draft a stud in the middle?

This approach will free up a lot of money and could help us acquire other talent in FA who are actually quality players. Instead of players who are washed up. I would not be surprised if T-Baum throws a lot of money at Von Miller and he signs with Miami. This is the type of organization that the Miami Dolphins are. The New York Yankees of the NFL. It's very clear that the players on the field only care about their pay check. They have no heart.

We are most likely going to have a top 5 pick in the draft and I would love to see us draft Myles Garrett or a stud DB like Peppers. We need more players on this roster who are high character and who can actually play football.

It's real simple .

Same thing we had to do last year and didn't do .

Draft a linebacker in the first , corner in the second ...

Sign a Guard .
Sign A decent ( not made of glass ) serviceable vet back . Don't underpay when the opportunity is there to get a guy you like ( Anderson ) .

This problem has the same issues we though it had .

You know what they say about common sense? It's not so common.

Well...Thanks to T-Bomb...he has already hurt 2017...thanks to trading our 3rd and fourth for that receiver.....now..say we get a top five pick...(1)DE Garrett...then with the second(a high second)if a Chad Kelly happens to
fall to the second(doubtful)grab him or offer that second to Cincy for A.J. McCarron...now,if we still had those high 3rd and fourth rd. picks plus our comp. picks (which should be in the 3rd and fourth rounds)that's four
picks to help grab guards, some linebacker help and/or a bruiser type RB...now being short those two picks...T-Bomb will do something stupid like trading back and screwing up the drafts value....
Thanks Mike

I wonder what Ross is saying about this. It really hurt us.

What it means,....that trading some of next years picks..T-Bomb looked at this roster and said...We're close, the hell with next year....
For thinking this roster wasn't a pile of poo...t-bomb has to be held accountable..end of story.

And don't forget moving Suh's money around and that Maxwell trade...I mean damn!!!

Branden Albert is being paid like a mid-tier LT. He has the 12th ranked contract in average per year salary OVERALL. Not exactly out of the norm for a player of his caliber. The main issue is the injuries and missed games. Week 1 was a bad week. First game in a new offense against one of the best defenses in the league. Beyond that, the two games he missed the line gave up 11 sacks without him.

The other issue is we drafted a LT when we already had a Pro Bowler under contract for three more years. Now there is pressure to move, release or cut him because of Tunsil. Now we have a high pick playing left guard who cannot run block. Would we have been better off with someone to play RT and displace James from the lineup? Probably but I can't hold it against them for snagging Tunsil at 13.

This is the first year out of 6 that Pouncey has made over $7M so I doubt he would restructure. Not sure Albert would either. Ideally you could talk him in to moving to RT.

I do agree that LOTS of cuts need to be made and LOTS of players should not be re-signed.

Cuts

Earl Mitchell +3
Koa Misi +4.2
Mario Williams +8.5
Byron Maxwell +3.5
JaWuan James +2.6

This frees up almost 22M to extend Jones and Landry. That leaves us with about 20M of cap space. I would also extend Anthony Steen (LG & C) and tender Alonso at WLB.

Do not re-sign....

Dallas Thomas
Billy Turner
Jordan Cameron
Andre Branch
Jason Jones
Chris Jones
Kenny Stills
Jelani Jenkins
Arian Foster

Now they just have to replace 10-15 starters. We only have 36 players under contract total as it stands for 2017. Good luck filling out a team with 20M in cap space. Under the above conditions, we would need a RG, RB, two DE's, DT, two CB's, two LB's and a couple TE's. yeesh! 11 starters. Lucky to get two in the draft so 9 FA's to start? Then fill out the depth? Not good.

They also need to let Tannehill play it out and see what we need to do with him at the end of the year. We can walk away from his deal with something like 3.5M in dead space IF we cut him before the 4th day of the new league year. Re-structure a possibility depending on the next 11 games.

you messed up a couple of your numbers according to overthecap.com. we don't save anything by cutting James, that $2.6m is just dead money. cutting Maxwell saves $5.5m not $3.5m and its $4m with Earl Mitchell not $3m.

"just have to replace 10 to 15 starters"

you do realize that they could always do worse than what we are replacing right?

personnel wise we can't afford to let that many people go unless you want to up the odds on more ghastly free agent contracts...only so many draft picks and day 3 is littered with 2 deep type talents especially once we get to our maybe comp picks at the rear of round 3 and day 3

we up **** creek without a paddle

I do agree Mario, Mitchell, Maxwell and koa need to go though...koa mostly due to health and he's a ideal 2 down player anyways

You are correct on James deal but there is a discrepancy on Maxwell's deal. Spotrac says one thing and OTC says another. I went with the wose case scenario.

You do realize we are talking about Mike Tannenbaum and his group of slappies? :)

Albert's play has dropped off and the older he gets the more injuries will appear. I would keep Stills he isn't that bad except for the 1 dropped pass against the Seahawks. Tannehill just can't hit him when he's open

He's been sacked 200 times. At the end of last season he as pissing blood. The kid is tough but damn 200 times I'm sure he has a little PTSD from a crappy o-line play.

Ross has to get rid of T. Baum to see this franchise turn it around. There is a reason the Jets didn't want him.
