What must happen for the Dolphins........

At this point it's simple. Dolphins win and Chiefs loss = 5th seed. Can't give you a % of the chance of this happening, but the Chargers are capable of beating the Chiefs and I believe the Dolphins have beaten the Patriots in Miami three of the last four meetings.

Dolphins win + KC loss = 5th seed.

IDK the percentage, but I wouldn't bank on SD beating KC. But you never know.

NE hasn't won in Miami since 2012

It's certainly possible, though I wouldn't bet on it to happen.

Miami is playing with house money at this point and has nothing to lose which makes us extra dangerous.

Mike McCoy is coaching for his life (career) and that team might be heading to LA in a few weeks so their motivation for giving their fans one last hurrah is high. Additionally, we have a guy named Bosa who gives a 110% regardless of the circumstance and might give his home town team a gift heading into the new year. At the very least SD has the edge at QB.

I'd put the likelihood of both scenario's panning out at about 15%.

Thankfully KC plays later so we have everything to play for at 1. Even if KC wins their game, winning our game is important in that we give Oakland a chance to take the 1 seed away from New England by beating Denver, who may just lay down a bit with nothing to play for. That scenario has us definitely going to Oakland instead of New England for Divisional round should we get by Pitt, no matter what happens in the other WC game. Not a bad path, and it gives KC or Houston a chance to knock off the Pats.

It's important, no matter what, to attack Brady. Attack, Attack, Attack. Blitz the **** out of him.

It's an awesome situation to be in with nothing to lose.
