Whether you blame Tannehill or the coaching both sides are saying Tannehill has to play smarter. But the difference is one side wants him to to take responsibility for his own actions and the other side wants the coaches to change to help him improve. We all want the same thing.

for example tom brady, big ben, manning, luck, wilson is A when come to qb. weather team is good or bad they make it wk.
thill is c- to d+ he need everybody around him to better. basicly team is caring him. this sound like 6 to 9 win team every yr. we still in same place last 15 year and sad part about. it will not change for while. it not team it owner. every position on this team need be upgrade except wr. we got two over paid player. that need be cut. drafting younger dt and qb maybe best thing dolphins can do.

Fins are such a headache to analyze. The way I'm kinda seeing it now is, there are quite a few teams in the NFL with decent QB's, and bad rosters: many didn't post winning records this year, the ones that I watched in the playoffs, outside of the Texans, had a decent roster in all phases of the game, and stronger foundation at the coaching/coordinator spots than what Miami has had.
Miami just isn't there yet. I want Tannehill to take the team to the next step, but I've learned that it just doesn't work out like that. Here's hoping Gase builds towards it.

Tom Brady had no Pass Blocking by the end of the season, and he lost most of those games. It is also known by everyone that you pressure Tom, he become ineffective, you beat the Pats.

The great Andrew Luck had little time to do anything this year, result, he looked worse then Tannehill.

Wilson before this year, if he was under distress from am extreme pass-rush without a running game to protect him, he would fail,. I will say though, this year, he did succeed with no running game and little pass-protecting in a few games I watched.

Big Ben rarely wins when the running game is not effective and he is being harassed.

Manning has very rarely been on a team that did not pass-protect well for him, but when it did fail, he looked pretty less then spectacular.

Consider Tannehill has lead the league the past few years being sacked, and little help consistently with the run game...hopefully Gase will find a better offense for Miami that will protect Tannehill and allow him to do his job better.

Wilson started playing real good only after his offensive line improved. He was sacked 3.7 times a game in the first 9 games, the Seahawks went 4-5. He was sacked 1.7 times a game in the last 7, going 6-1. What's the reason for that dramatic change in sack numbers? Wilson forgot how to evade the pass rush for the first 9 games and then somehow could do it for the rest of the season? Or was it the offensive line play improving?

Having him calling the plays at the LOS like Manning did from the no huddle....and...solidifying the oline so he isn't taking punishment on every pass play will go a long way toward getting RT playing better and this team more wins.

I agree that protection is huge. At 10-0, there were stories of whether or not the Pats would go undefeated.... The line sucked and they went a mighty 3-5 in their remaining games. Think about that... The Pats went 3-5 in an 8 game stretch. Question, when was the last time the Pats went 3-5 in an 8 game stretch? Im honestly curious.

I thought it was fair criticism.

Anyway, OP has it wrong, some think that the QB can do anything he wants on the football field as long as he's good enough, and other people believe it is an 11-man team sport. There is strong evidence that these so-called "teams" do in fact exist, many in fact claim to have seen players who were not QBs despite skepticism from certain sectors of the scientific community.

Me, I know that these invisible forces (dark matter?) that sweep the QB before he has time to set up are real players and not unconscious projections of the QBs rooted belief in his unworthiness (as some have proposed) because I have seen these other players with my own eyes. And I am almost positively certain that they have free will of their own independent from the QB.

I don't see how people can be so blind to the concept of how bad our O-Line is and has been since Tanne arrived. I don't know if they are blind, ignorant, or indifferent. The kid has thrown for over 4000 yards AND A 2 TO 1 TD to Int rate the last 2 years behind what started out as a crappy o-line and got even worse when the half way decent players on the O-line got hurt the last 2 years. Seriously, open your freaking eyes!

People love their network blinders and only understand the game from a fantasy sports perspective. I seriously don't think people realize they get most of their "football" information from Disney.
