Im just throwin out there that I was talking to some of my friends who are fans of different teams and they all said man we would take Porter in a heartbeat for a 2nd or 3rd. Could we really get a 2nd or 3rd for him if he got traded to a team with a dumb owner?

NO.. its not happening... at most we will get a late round pick but its more likely we will cut him...

Joey is getting old but still capable of a surprise sack. Maybe I'm a pessimist but I think that we would be lucky to get a 5th round draft pick out of a Joey trade.

Your friends are idiots.

Please advise your buds that I'm currently running a sweet "Friends of Fins Fans" special on this little beauty. But they need to act quickly cause at this price if you snooze you lose.

One thing I have to point out, because I had so many debates about it at the time as I live in NE. Prior to the 07 season the big defensive free agent OLB's were Peezy and Adalius Thomas and all I heard was how lucky the Paties were to get Thomas and how we were stuck with Porter. Well, looking back we had the better signing on this one.

6th rounder at best i think..Put yourself in an owner's shoes...believe or not they read the news we read..plus 100 more inside info we dont have...If I were an owner that wanted to GAMBLE...I'd give a 5th rounder. A team like Saints, Cowboys, or Philly comes to mind immediately. Teams that feel they are a player or two away from a SB and need some pass rush.

Of course this is all assuming we keep him past the March 1st deadline for his $1 million dollar bonus.

Can't make trades until March 5, and since JPutz is due his bonus on March 1st, unless his agent extends the bonus payout for atleast a week, Porter will be released later this month.

Based on this scenario, I would have to agree, he will be released before March 1st. Why pay him $1 million if he doesn't wan't to play for us?
