I still remember a few years back when Tennessee needed a receiver badly, but there was Javon Kearse somehow falling to their spot in the draft. The Titans took Kearse, who had an amazing rookie season and helped the team reach the super bowl.

Whose that player this year that would change the draft direction for Miami? I think its Elliott, especially with the way the running back situation has played out in free agency.

I don't think the Dolphins would expect Elliott to drop to #13 and have other targets in mind. Players like Apple, Alexander, Lawson, Dodd, and Conklin would seem to be primary targets (Hargreaves if he drops).

If the team took Elliott, they would have to find ways to fill bigger needs but get a potential elite player.

Who do you think changes the draft direction for Miami?

I've maintained we should go BPA at 1 & 2.

Without knowng anything about where these players are mentally, my 1st and 2nd rnd picks as of today would be Nkemdiche & Karl Joseph.

Pretending we can fill positions in the draft with as many as we have is about the dumbest thing we could do, amd is exactly why we are, where we are today.

Elliott needs a strong OL to thrive imo and he's not going to get it here, so I don't think he matches your criteria.

I'd say Leonard Floyd or go left-field; Carson Wentz.

Would love this.

I think elliots vision and ability to find space is one of his best strengths, won't need a good oline to succeed. I use to compare him to Leveon, but the more I watch the more I realize he's no Leveon. What Leveon does is really special.

But Elliot will still be a heck of a RB IMO. And again a big part of his value is he can do it all.

But recent rumors is that him and Bosa were super party animals. Johnny Manziel level drinking and drug use, going to raves and ****.

There's no doubting Nkemdiche's talent. I believe he ran a 4.86 at nearly 300 pounds, which is pretty exciting stuff. Take away his character concerns, and you still have to look at his inconsistent play. Is that coachable or he someone who won't work hard enough to maximize his abilities? I think that's the real question to answer.

T-Baum is a risk taker so I wouldn't rule our Nkemdiche.

Yeah I agree, I just think were so far behind the good teams in the talent department that if we miss on Nkemdiche...

Than what? We miss, nothing changes really, we still suck.

But if he works out, A young, potentially dominating player like Nkemdiche could change this defense for years to come. Dominating defensive ends IMO, are worth the risk. If it was a different position I'd probably hold off.

But defense ends, roll that dice.

Now if the team had zero worries about Ogbah, and really liked him, and decided to go with him, id be ok with him also. But we could lose wake & Williams after this season.

Defensive end is as much a need as any, and as I mentioned earlier, you don't want to go into a off season needing defensive ends or you'll pay that Olivier Vernon $.

There are certain teams that he'd probably work out well with...someone mentioned Arizona. Maybe now with a new coaching staff that could be Miami. I'm just not sure on that and whether the veteran leadership can help young players. It is fun to envision a defensive line with Suh, Phillips, Williams, Nkemdiche and Wake, though.

Knemdiche changes the draft for me as well. Yes we need a cb or OT/G, but if he's there at 13 i dont know how you pass up his type of talent.

I would. You have a major bust on hand in D Jordan with some similar issues as the Ole Miss DT (a pos you don't need in round 1, btw). You also have a guy who is also denying he has any problems so that's another red flag. if they were to take Nkemdiche there would be a riot in Miami.

He'll be there because he has problems. Don't fall for it, he's not Reggie White. He doesn't play hard all the time either which is red flag #3

Myles Jack

Zeke Elliot

Ew, Nkemdiche... wtf.

Myles Jack, maybe his injury will scare potential teams. Zeke is a beast, too.

If somehow anyone like

Bosa
Ramsey
Tunsil
Jack
Goff
Stanley
VH3
Elliott

falls then you take them no doubt. I would include Jaylon Smith, but the injury sounds BAD. Daniel Jeremiah recently took him from his like top 5, to completely off of his top 50 list..

One that can play with injury, durable, be a team player, and not have character issues. That is the first thing in the league they make a big deal out of.

Jalen Ramsey is prbly the only player that I would be ecstatic if he fell to us. The rest of the top 10 dont tickle my toes.
Based on the projections my best available players should all be available at 13.

Decided to watch some Sheldon Rankins, that dude is a damn tree, ones he plants himself your not moving that dude anywhere. I think he's being way under hyped in this draft.

I was with you until I got to Goff....he's not in my top two QB's.

Bosa, Tunsil, Ramsey, Wentz, Jack, Buckner, Hargreaves, & Stanley will be gone....so name your top 5 thats left?
