As of right now discounting free agents and not taking into consideration BPA what position would you guys like to be filled most with the 1st pic?

WR....we need a big play, game changing type of player.

we need a playmaker. so id go WR with our first pick. my two favorites are dwayne jarret then if hes off then i would look at Ginn. at first i was not to crazy about ginn but then i thought about it like this. Lets say Daunte Culpepper is our starting QB next year, he could go back to his old style of throwing it long. He used to throw it long to moss and let moss use his speed to catch up to the bal. Ginn has freak like speed so he could do waht moss did. the only thing that Ginn is lacking is height but that doesnt slow down steve smith

depends what we do like if we get Briggs or Thomas than we don't need a OLB, if we get Samuel or Clements than we don't need a CB, if we get Stalleworth than we don't need a WR. one thing is sure, if Brady Quinn somehow falls to us than we better pick him

BPA is the way to go, it pretty much guarantees that we don't draft Ginn. If he's the best player left when we pick, we must have traded down to the second round.

I agree, take Quinn if he is there. Hopefully we can get a little magic like in 83when Marino fell into our laps. If not then go Ginn at wr if there.

WR if we cut Booker or trade Chambers, even though I'd rather keep him around than Booker. Booker is kinda expensive. But yea, Ted Ginn. Plays kinda like Terry Glenn, but is much faster.

WR, OT, OLB, or CB. Depends on free agent signing.

Trade for more picks.

OT and QB no later than the 2nd or 3rd round.

hey, I got an idea, let's start 9 million more threads about who we should take with the 9 pick:shakeno: the horse is dead, quit beating it

when was the last receiver that was drafted in the first round to have a "break-out" season or even a decent one? Those types of receivers usually take a few years to become really good or they're busts. Throughout the seven rounds it's hit or miss with them. Think of M. Colston who was drafted in the seventh I believe and then you have Jackson of the Patriots with hamstring injuries.

Some receivers are the product of the offense. I think it's much easier to pickup a dominate tackle or DT instead.

I guess my pics would be

1. LT
2. Huge DT
3. LB
4. QB

those four positions I believe will have the best players available and will fit a need. we can find a receiver in the later rounds.

Left tackle, PLEASE!!! This is a deep WR draft and we can grab one later. We NEED a dominant left tackle for the next 10 years. Go get Levi!!!

I know it's not a sexy pick, but wouldn't it be nice to have a monster up front to grind a Jets/Patriots OLB or DE into the ground?

roy williams, boldin were pretty nice rookies last I checked

Last year was a week WR class one of the weakest in decades and everyone knew it. I dont think it is fair to make a judgement there.

LT is not a very strong position in this draft is a problem there. There is no big NT in this draft honestly. LB (Inside or outside?) Willis is a nice ILB, there is alot of depth for OLB (3-4 style) it is very deep with tweeners. QB isnt that strong either really.

It is a weird draft OG is strong, WR is very strong and top heavy it seems.

Who is the dominate LT you see to draft?

Joe Thomas will be long gone

Joe Staley is not a top 10 pick he is a bottom 10 and needs work.

Ugoh could be interesting but he is a bottom 10 of the 1st pick

Harris isnt a left tackle

Levi Brown is a top15 pick but he projects as a OG or RT by many, I like him as a possible LT but he might not fit right there is debates over it.

There is no big time LT really after thomas, next year is LT heavy

Levi is the guy I think fits the bill. I'm obviously not a talent scout, but I do know LT is a huge problem for us and I'm sick of us not investing high picks in that position. I'd much rather take a chance on a highly drafted LT than a WR. If Quinn and Brown are there, I'd probably lean towards Quinn slightly, but if it's Ginn/Jarrett or Brown, I'd draft Brown in a heartbeat.
