What realistically could/would Miami get for Ramsey?

one thing that i think my potential salvage a little bit of trade power on our end is.. we didnt draft his replacement or pick one up in FA.

The LB Pratt from Cin demanded a trade and the Bengals spent two day 2 draft picks on LB's to replace him. So the Bengals have zero power now in trying to trade the guy. Everyone knows he's probably going to be cut now.

With Ramsey, everyone knew he wasnt happy at the end of the season, the fins made it public that they would agree to part ways if possiblie. BUT, we dont have his replacement on the team, we didnt invest draft capital or big money into his replacement. We can always tell teams on the other end of the phone "we will suck it up, try to kiss his ass some, and make it work out. we dont HAVE to GIVE him away. we can still use him"

i could be wrong, but i think we should at least be able to get a conditional day 2 pick out of him, especially if we've eaten the biggest part of the contract and the other team is getting a bargain

Rams don't have a 4th in 2026 but is a 2027 third a possibility?

You know, I said conditional 4th can turn into a 2nd. I meant could turn into a 3rd.

However, if they don't have a 4th, well there goes my theory lol

But if a 4th in 2026 is possible, then a 3rd in 2027 is possible

Unless they already have a trade lined up for June 1st this is possible.

You are right also. The longer Miami holds onto Ramsey would imply they don't like their offers and would require a team to give up more.

All it takes is 1 contending team to lose one of their top corners to an ACL injury or something like that in camp than next thing you know a 3rd becomes worth it for the Packers/Cowboys/Rams etc.

best we might be able to do is a conditional 3rd. Meaning a 4th that could become a 3rd based on several things like playing time and how far that team goes into the playoffs but most likely nothing more than a day 3 pick

I'll gladly let him choose his own team, just give us back the signing bonus Jalen and then you can sign with any team you want as a free agent.

I'm not looking to help him out one bit.

Get to practice or bring a check, because if you miss any mandatory practices you're going to get fined the max. Just give me one reason to void your contract and sue you for the signing bonus.

I don't want a 5th or 6th round pick here. I want to make an example of someone. My goal would be to make him take a swing at me or at the very least, make him say something really inflammatory on social media that can be used against him in a suspension.

The Dolphins have a golden opportunity to send a strong message here.

4th or 5th with that salary. What is with this team and their damn extentions?? they extended Tyreek when they didn't need to, they extended Tua when he had not...and still hasn't... played a complete season, they extended Ramsey when they didn't need to and the WORST of them all...they extended McGenius when he hasn't even won a playoff game!

Extending McDaniel is irrelevant as it has no cap ramifications.

How so? Please explain genius. A coach's extension couldn't be more irrelevant. Unless your an heir to Stephen Ross's fortune and your $5 billion inheritance took a small hit.
Are you kidding me? You give an extension and a substantial raise to a coach with two years left on his current contract and he gets rewarded for what? Two straight years of implosions? Are you Ross's accountant? Geez, that's just stupid on so many levels.

I think it more likely implies they prefer a post June 1 arrangement for cap purposes.

That's like $50 to the common person. Context.......

I'm thinking a 5th or 6th. Maybe a vet that would otherwise be a cut candidate.
