Ireland is basically setting up Philbin for a failed season (unless our FO made a deal with the devil to go to the playoffs)....and this will most likely finally result in Ireland being fired and when Ireland gets fired, the new GM is going to want to bring in his own guys, which means we get to start this whole process over again in 2013. First actual shot won't come till the 2014 season.
What sucks about all of this.

I agree 100%. I've been impressed with what I've heard from and read about Joe Philbin. I hope his coaching can shine through the asinine moves that Ireland makes.
They should have cleaned house last season but they didn't so we are stuck with things for another season. I do not believe that a new GM will have to get rid of Philbin though, it is very possible he can still shine enough in this season to warrant another even under a new GM. Of course it make take the new gm a season or two to clean up the mess outside of the coaching staff.
