For crying out loud, all I heard before the game was Fin fans wanting to see if our secondary could hold up tonight after 2 dismal performances in preseason. Our secondary was FANTASTIC !!!! And now all I hear now is how Ronnie Brown couldn't see the holes and didn't play well.

Can some of you see the big picture for christs sakes ? I mean, Delhomme was shaking his head and he looked like he was going to have a tamper tantrum on the field with 4 mins left in the 1st half he was so livid and frustrated with himself .. Man, we shut that team down !! They had a measly 2 first downs in the ENTIRE first half compared to our 8 .. We played awesome ! And all I see here is complaints about 3 Ronnie Brown runs..

If Ronnie Brown is our biggest concern, my goodness we are sitting *removed* pretty let me tell ya !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn pretty !!!!!!!!!!

Let's make this clear, if after the game we knew our biggest concern would be Ronnie not making a couple big runs we'd be ecstatic, which is what we should be.. I saw ALOT of good things tonight.. I saw Culpepper friggin make runs, I saw him 14 for 19 with 130 yards and no INT's after the first half . My goodness, a month ago we didn't think he'd start the season and look at how far he has come ! I see our D coming together just giving up 2 measly first downs against the starting team of Carolina in the 1st half, a team mind you who many pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl and the odds on favorite to win the NFC this year..

Come on guys, no team plays a perfect game.. Despite the final score on a couple unfortunate Special Teams plays, we friggin outplayed one of the top 3 teams in the league tonight. Not only that, but we traveled 2 weeks in a row ( to tampa then Carolina) after just 4 days rest !! That is HUGE HUGE strides compared to what we had just two years ago with Wannstache at the helm and a 4-12 team.. We should be ecstatic with what we saw tonight and the team we are building here in Miami..

I have been a fin fan for 24 years, a die hard fan.. And let me tell you, the future has never looked brighter for me, and I know this franchise , believe me. Let's get with it and get with the program. We are going to be good, DAMN good and maybe the best in the league either this season or next. That is reason to be happy.. I have never been so excited for the aqua and orange .. I for one am !

GO DOLPHINS !!

Oh give it up...............we're all big fans here........... With the starters playing up until the 3rd quarter, it was time to really see where the run game is at. Basically, vs. a top ranked D, we looked so ineffective.........I mean how can you even deny that? That's not taking away from optimism, but the truth was tonight they didn't match up at all with the Panther's Run D.

Huh ??? How can I deny what ? *edited* .. Total yards in the first half were Miami 166 and Carolina a measly 82 ! That's a 2 to 1 ratio in favor for Miami . And against a team many pick to be in the super bowl , PLUS we traveled TWICE in just 5 days on the road..

Can you comprehend that ????? Someone needs a bong to relax and see just how good life is to be a Dolphin fan right now.. We are becoming one of the top teams in the league right before our eyes here.

I thought Ronnie Brown ran like Ronnie Brown. Sammy Morris came in did no better. It was the Carolina defense. Ronnie trying to cross the endzone standing up wasn't a good thing. I felt he didn't watch the Sammy Morris highlights from the Tampa game. I do believe and always thought he still has a ways to go. With really no relief this year we will see how he holds up. Again this is pre-season.

why do people continously feel the need to tell people that they shouldnt have their own opinions? FREEDOM of MOTHER****ING SPEECH......god you "oh ur not a true fan" people piss me off.

It's not about opinions as it is about people who don't acknowledge how this team has progressed greatly . I mean GREATLY and some people chose to nitpick about small things..

We have an O-Line that is better run blocking than pass blocking.. So to be upset about a bad quarter running the ball against the top running defense in the league is assinine.. On the other hand, I have yet to see a thread started where someone mentioned how fantastic our pass blocking was (considered a weakness previously), against one of the top pass rushes in the NFL with their full starting lineup. That"s something to be very excited about IMHO

Yes ALL posts on this forum should be 100000% positive. The Phins and their players and coaches can do wrong. We are the best now and the best ever. How dare you untrue fans have an opinion on this team. Be like Mr Talent Evaluator and be a true fan you stupid *******s......you make him sick!

its not about all posts being 100000% positive.. But I can't believe all the negativity over a game where we outplayed one of the top teams in the league, and one of the top 2 teams in the NFC .. I mean, look around for crying out loud... 90% of the threads started since the game are negative.. It's pathetic. A joke really.

Carolina message boards should have so many negative posts after this game, not a Miami board. Imagine being a Carolina fan and you had a crummy 2 first downs in a whole half against a team that didn't make the playoffs last season (one of those 2 first downs by penalty !) . If we were in their shoes this board would have exploded from a bomb by now with all the negativity

Well I do have to say this, I was keeping an eye out on Jason Allen and I saw him miss coverage on a guy really bad (he was supposed to move over from the left side of the field to the right where the motion man had gone, he jogged it over there and the guy was left wide open. I don't know if he was confused on the coverage or what). The rest of D did fine IMO. The line was getting blown away but at least they didn't commit as many penaltys as the 2nd preseason game against Tampa. Ronnie is going to be a beast this year if we can get him some running room. Did you see the final play of the 1st half, he dragged two people to a 1st down, an amazing play. I did notice however that when we went for it on 4th and goal and got stuffed Ronnie should have bounced it to the outside for the TD but thats something that will be learned in time.

Edit: I also have to say this to the Jason Allen haters, HE'S A ROOKIE!!! He's going to make mistakes!!! Not every rookie can just jump into a lineup right away, he may need another year to develop or maybe even 2 years. He did blow a coverage but he's a rookie, he's going to make mistakes.

it has everything to do with opinions...w

Opinions about the one thing out of ten that don't go right.. I think that's a fickle fan mentality considering where we as dolphin fans have come from over the past few years (including a 4-12 season) .

Where's the opinions of the positives ? IE - Culpepper moving like he never had surgery, fantastic pass blocking by O-line, great defense and secondary play by the starters etc etc . Very little positive talk and there should be more than just 10% of posts being positive after a game like this IMO

I like your thread bro but you need to grow thicker skin and some patience. It will get worse before it gets better. Last year this time Saban was a bust, Ronnie was a bust and we were destined to get the first pick. I recommend you get vip. We had a great chat room last night and we all hung out and enjoyed the game together. We were laughing at the big board responses... and at D-Day because he had to moderate it. There is a big difference in the nature of the posts from big board to vip. I didn't pay any attention to the BB all night as "I" just get mad and frustrated at the "baiters and haters" Think it over, you'd surly be welcome.
