March 15, Toronto Star: The Toronto Argonauts have gained exclusive CFL rights to former Detroit Lions starting quarterback Joey Harrington by placing his name on their negotiation list.

Argos general manager Adam Rita said he made the move after Harrington was released by the Miami Dolphins, with whom he played last season, on March 6. However, Rita said he had not spoken to the player and had no immediate plan to do so.
"We're pretty set at that position right now," he said. "But he's someone we might want to look at down the road."

i thought he was negotiating with the Panthers :boohoo:

Wow, Canadia? I mean I was not a fan of his last year, but I have always thought he had more talent than going up north a?

 @ the "we're pretty set at that position" comment, insinuiating that Joey would probably be a backup anyway..

They havent even contacted him, seems shady that they can block other teams from talking to him by putting him on a list. This is just incase he cant catch on with an NFL team, which I cant see not happening because he's an alright option as a backup.

Did you even read the article you quoted? What it is saying is that if any team in the CFL is to negotiate with Joey Harrington, the Argonauts have the exclusive rights. Apparently that's how that works in the CFL. It isn't saying Joey is planning on playing in the CFL, or that the Argonauts are looking for a quarterback (they say in the article they had no current plans).

wow, can see nobody actually 'read' the article. Joey isn't playing in Canada. Jeezus.
