The team is just desperate. Already talking QB change in Week 3. Defense questioning Coyle. Philbin coaching scared. Miami re-sigining their cut scrubs like they're going to be good all of a sudden. Philbin basically admitted they don't do the no huddle offense more often because they don't have confidence in the offense to execute it therefore putting the defense at risk. So 3 years in and Philbin still doesn't have the guys he needs to run his offense with confidence. smh

The players are allegedly professionals (& making ridiculous amts of $); they should not need motivation.

Disagree. We need a HC that the team respects and will go to the wall for. We need a coach that the players buy into his vision.
If the team needs a speech to get them going, we are worse than we all think.
The problem is Joe has no vision and if he does is terrible at articulating it.

They might need it the most! They need motivation without the $ sign. They don't feel they are part of something special and they should. None of it matters since it all starts with having a certain level of talent and so forth on the team. For example; how you are going to make Wallace go catch balls with Tannehill when it is Tannehill that needs the work. Doesn't really work out well does it. You can't punish top players and make them help the worse players. Perhaps a bit, but at some point any top player will want to know you are putting talent around them. That will motivate them. If the team doesn't believe in Thill you got a problem. I'd love to see the closed ballot on that question!
