There's going to come a time when he is going to need to kick the game winner. What then? This kicker worries me. I hold my breath every time. I would expect to bring a kicker in to workout and light a fire under him. I feel he is our achillis heel.

I'm more worried about Fields. The offense isn't going to be able to drive down the field every time. We lose valuable field position every time he shanks one.

He's at least proven to be good in the past. Sturgis has always sucked.

I think for every FG he misses Fields should kick him in the nuts and for every punt Fields shanks, Sturgis kicks him in the nuts! That way they both stay warmed up!

I was sure he would be replaced by now. I swear the KC kicker hit a 48 yarder like it was a XP, just kicked it hard and fast

Why do we always get fish related kickers?
Carp
Sturgeon

It makes sense. They get the ball from the long "Snapper"

:chuckle:

Sturgis misses always seem to come after the offense gives up a sack making the FG longer than it needs to be.

Right now he's tied for 13th in the league in scoring. He's missed two Fgs (48 and 51) and hasn't missed an extra point. He had one FG blocked, which wasn't on him, and has a high touchback rate. I think he's ok for now because he hasn't cost us a game, but if that were to happen we might see some camp comp. The fact is we drafted him fairly high (5th round) so unless he lays an egg he's safe.
