The Finsiders did a poll on the best plays of 2013. Mine was the Dion Sims catch because I was there and it was an awesome game which made my trip that much more enjoyable. I would say the Michael Thomas interception was really close to being the #1 too, such an emotional game.

Let’s take a look at the nominees for the Dolphins’ Best Play Of 2013:
Dion Sims’ GW One-Handed Catch: In Week 3, the Dolphins were down three to the Falcons in the closing seconds, when the rookie tight end came through with one hand tied behind his back, literally!
The Wake-Off Sack: On Halloween night, The Dolphins and Bengals were tied in overtime, when Cameron Wake took down Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton for a dramatic and unexpected ending to the nationally televised contest.
Clay Runs Through The Chargers: On November 17th the Dolphins and Chargers were tied at 10 in the 3rd quarter when Ryan Tannehill found Charles Clay on a short pass that Clay took to the end zone, breaking the tackles of numerous Charger defenders in the process.
Clay’s Game-Winning Grab: On December 8th, the Dolphins were trailing the Steelers by four points late in the fourth quarter at a snowy Heinz Field when Tannehill connected with Clay, who spun out of the grasp of a pair of Pittsburgh defenders and found the end zone for a game-winning score.
Michael Thomas Saves The Day: On December 15th, the Dolphins were protecting a four point lead in the closing seconds against the Patriots and with several of the defensive backs sidelined with injuries, Thomas stepped up to seal the win with an interception in the end zone.

Finsiders Analyst Selections
The crew was split on the vote for the award, which took place live on the program on FOX Sports Florida this evening. Former Dolphins CB Sam Madison and Finsiders Comment Center anchor Tristin Jones selected Michael Thomas’ game-sealing interception against the Patriots. Former Dolphins guard Keith Sims went with a Sims of course; Dion Sims and his one-handed game-winning touchdown against the Falcons. Meanwhile, Finsiders anchor John Congemi voted for Charles Clay’s tremendous touchdown catch and run against the Chargers. Clearly, this was an award in which all of the nominees were very deserving of the honor. However, the fans in the live chat at Dolphins.com voted for Wake’s game-ending safety against the Bengals, which was the clear consensus of the writers and the fans on this page; thus giving Cam Wake the award for his fantastic play on Halloween nigh
