I know you are all dying to know what I think we need to compete next year..
First off Daunte Culpepper is an incredible move. The #1 problem the Dolphins had to solve was "how in the hell are we gonna get a QB"....They now have a juggernaut at the QB position. Hands down great move.
#1 Need CB - Will Poole is promising and Travis Daniels did a commendable job but guys we couldn't get off the field on 3rd down last year. We need to get atleast 1 CB. A cheap Ty Law or a 1st round CB is necessary here or we will suffer the consequences next year.
#2 Need DT - Keith Traylor is old; Zgonina is old; Vickerson did good against scrubs; Manny Wright is promising but unreliable. Sam Adams we need you. Sam Adams destroyed Rex Hadnot last year..he is a monster. We don't have the draft picks to sure up CB and DT..it will be one or the other.
#3 #4 and #5 are about equal priority
#3 WR - Booker can't stretch the field and if Chambers gets hurt Culpepper will have no one to throw down the field to. I just have a feeling we won't be able to upgrade this much. Don't give Terrell Owens any guaranteed money. That would be the quickest way to hurt this team.
#4 RG - Hadnot did well at RG but I believe he is more of a center. We need to find a RG and our OL is going to be alright. Benji Olsen?
#5 OL - We need a OLB that can blitz in the 3-4 alignment. Lavar or Peterson would be nice but way too pricey. Lavar is a headcase and caused mucho problems in Washington. If those guys come down on their demands ( doubtful ) would be great pick ups.
If we can address these problems w/ out busting our cap we are a serious playoff contender next year.
