Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

One of the Miami Dolphins' best offensive players is not fully participating with the rest of the team in practice.
Left tackle Branden Albert is recovering from a torn ACL that ended his 2014 season, and while all reports indicate he will be ready to go for Week 1 of the 2015 regular season, the Dolphins must also prepare for the possibility that he'll be less than 100 percent. After all, he'll be jumping straight off the couch and into the heat of the action.
In fact, if James Walker of ESPN.com has an accurate read on Albert's health, there's reason to doubt whether he'll be ready to go.
I've had a chance to watch Branden Albert rehab his knee a couple of times during organized team activities and he looks far from ready. He's jogging, but Albert still has a big hitch in his step. Just based on what I see, I don't think anything is 100-percent guaranteed at this point, although Albert and multiple people in the Dolphins' organization are fully optimistic.

Hate to say it, but I expect that to be the case in terms of him not being ready for a handful of games. His injury was not that long ago. And I don't have any answers for his replacement. Hopefully the coaches do.

Jason Fox, and if that fails, James witches to LT.
Not a very good prospect at all.

Ya know, alcohol will do that to you but right now I don't see any team being better than the 2015 Miami Dolphins and I expect us to go all the way to the Super Bowl. Fins up!

appears fox is the first option although i wonder if they will decide in camp once they know albert won't be a go (if they do know in advance) to shift james to left and fox play right...whatever they do if fox fails and alberts not ready they should beeline to billy turner at tackle

the plane needs to go down with everyone but dallas thomas on it before they go that route

Simple LT will suck and if James is moved then you create two weaknesses. Fox isn't worth a damn at either spot especially since he barely can walk without getting injured. Long term I think James can be a solid, unspectacular LT.

tanne will be handing off to the right alot behind pouncey, turner, and james. and rolling to the right alot if he needs to pass. should still beat the skins, dammit.

When someone tries to tell me he wont be ready for the season:

Thought of him not being ready for the start of the season:

I'm not convinced that Fox is the total disaster that many of you project. He had injuries in Detroit but maybe he's got healthier. He was pretty highly rated coming out of college.
