Trade him and a 6th round pick to SD for their 3rd string QB. Worked last year with Feeley...addition by subtraction. Would be nice to rid ourselves of his awful contract. Could use the cap space to sign an impact player at another position.

They wouldn't...fantasy on my part that they would bail us out a second time (Feeley) for a QB we traded a 2nd round pick for, signed him to a big contract and he then turned out to be disasterous.
 
were on a roll,we won't see pep until we lose and i think thats a good philosophy to adhere to

Saban will do absolutely nothing with Daunte this off season. Both guys will compete for the starting job next year.
 
If JH plays well, and they win games, then I think they have to stick with him regardless of DC's "recovery."

Why? Just look back at the Gus Frerotte situation of last offseason. Gus may not have been an elite QB, but he was good and the offense was clicking with him in there at the end of last year. We brought it DC, Gus got cut, and it all went down from there. This offense needs continuity. If they just go back to DC, the same thing will happen again next year.

But Daunte should stick around for at least 2007 before he gets booted.

even if we keep winning, we know its not because of joey. a mentally sound, somewhat slowed 'pepper is still the better option, imo

I guess 7 sacks a game, and no offensive production is the better option..
