what would u take for ricky?

i dont c this guy ever playing in a fins uniform again i think on draft day he will b delt .i would love a 4th but i think that might b 2 big of a risk for any team .i think we ditch him for a 5th this year or a 4th next year.what do u think?
 
why would we do that, he is signed cheap to us... he adds depth at RB, can help us out in games throughout the season. lets see what he got, how the season goes... if anythin boost his value then trade him if we need or want too. othewise, he could help us out.
 
Ricky Williams is a very smart football player. He's good at reading defenses before the snap and making minor adjustments to get the most out of each play. He can be a good mentor to Lorenzo Booker and he can add depth to the backfield.
 
I don't think ricky can make it through a whole season without being injured or high therefore I would take any pick for him because getting a pick is better than getting nothing.
 
no way we deal him on draft day imo.

a few reasons why...

he owes us money still I think. were paying him peanuts and he may show that he is worth a big contract again in the future. if he doesn't we aren't out much.

He's still good. As hard as it was to look good in the pitt game, it was fun seeing him out there again. Would have liked to see him play the rest of the season last year, but the injury forced him out.

we need the depth. I'm not all that in love with chatman. He is the guy that will end up elsewhere, as I am not positive but I think he is a FA this year. we drafted booker. ronnie, williams and booker. those will be our three guys

ricky williams wouldn't even bring us in good value if we tried to trade him this year.
play him this year, let him have his chances, raise his value. I can see us eventually getting a 3rd for him, maybe more depending on the season he has. If he does really well this year, there WILL be a handful of teams who may give us a 2nd rounder for him, at the very least a 3rd. No way we should trade him now for a 6th.

Nothign against Ronnie Brown but he has not made it through a season either. We wont get a ham sandwich for him now so why not keep him. He is still the best backup we can have for the price.
 
if you dont think he can make it throughout the season with an injury, then dont run him as much... spell with him, give him series throughout... keep his body from taking drastic hits... you got 3 other guys besides ricky.... he still can help us

aggread no way ricky makes it threw the season without being perminatly suspended for his 5th violation .he is cheep he is a great back but to much of a risk for BP and crew
 
dlockz..... good call on Ronnie Brown too. the more carries going to other good RB's the fresher Ronnies legs will be towards end of games, and season.

Williams is with us cheap right now. why not use his talents?

I would rather have any reliable young running back who shows up and wants to llearn over the unreliable Ricky Williams.Id feel safer with Sam Gado on the roster.Ricky is cheap for a reason.

Ive been saying all along Ricky will be gone. There should have been a red flag when Parcells said he doesnt want thugs, criminals or problem children and then he re-signs Ricky. It completely contradicts what he just said and should be a red flag.

I think he will be shopped, but we wont get anything more than a 6th or 7th round pick. Thats all fine with me. I've supported Ricky every time, but after the last time, I want him out. Its time to cut ties with him.
