The man has MAJOR talent, was drafted 4th round this year by the Steelers and was CUT! We pick him up, put him on our practice squad............

............and WHAT?

Does he suck? Is he a headcase? The man has MAJOR skills! What's the deal?

he is awful, bad hands, and if i remember from his college days, he was more of a possession receiver, with bad hands

Apparently, he is injured right now..

Wide receiver Fred Gibson, who is a member of the developmental squad, was on crutches Friday after spraining his ankle during practice

He didn't get to be Georgia's 3rd all-time leading receiver and first team All-SEC as a possession receiver with bad hands. Get real.

He is talented but he is a project .

Gibson could stand to pack on a few pounds. He has a thin build, and is not very physical on the field. He also needs a lot of development. Gibson relies too much on his natural ability. He does not run sharp routes and doesn’t always use his hands to catch the ball. He uses his body too often to catch the ball. Gibson also could put forth more effort on the field. He does not always give 100%, and doesn’t dominate the way his physical ability suggests he can

he came to georgia as a basketball player, but ended up playing football full time (there's an actual future in the NFL for him)

He has a lot of skill and he is tall, but he's skinny. The main reason he got cut from the Steelers (besides others having better camps) was because he was getting man handled by NFL CBs.

Once he bulks up a bit, he'll be solid for the team.

Well then, Mr. Gibson needs to hang out with that bulked up Superman, David Boston. He'll get him fattened up and ready to lay the wood on NFL cb's.

Go to your local Burger King drive through and ask him yourself.

It's sad but a player on an NFL practice squad gets several checks in which I could live on for the rest of my life!

i'm sure it's more than that, but even so, i'll take 35k a year for that

No it's not a fairly low number. NFL standards yes, but not for regular people. Gibson's making $79,900 to practice.
