new to finheaven i am a huge dolphins fan been reading the forums. everyone talks about ron brace and other nt's i know we need 1 but y is terrance taylor not talked about ever he is a later round guy like 3rd-5th but i watched him play 4 michigan i am also a huge fan of michigan cant wait to see henne and also barden is a beast also a project though if i was gm i would want hakeem nicks 1st and barden 2nd also on another note i think mel kiper is high if he thinks we draft heyward bey we have 2 similiar guys in ginn and bess whats ur thoughts

i wouldn't mind Ramses Barden, but i can honestly say that i don't know anything about Terrance Taylor...

i dont think terreance taylor will make it out of the 3rd roung and if u know gabe watson very similiar and both ffrom michigan as far as barden im not sure what round he will go in but the dude is a freak

Terrence Taylor draft stock is slipping. If not for teams needing NT so bad he prob be there until the 4th or later. All I have hear is that he had a really really dissappointing season this year. Once a 1st round pick he has slipped way out of the picture. But still has freakish athletic ability. Ive seen where he might run a sub5.0/40 at the combine. And at 6'0" 317lbs thats fast. Barden I like but he hasnt faced any competition. Plus scout reports say he has average hands, Need improvement in routes, Doesnt have great speed,No deep threat, Inconsitent effort, and lack of conditioning. I guess his crazy good numbers against terrible comp and his 6'6" frame have skyrocketed him in draft boards. But Brace would be better than Taylor and I even think Sammie Lee Hill about 3 rounds later would be better than Taylor. As far as WR I like Brandon Gibson from Wash St, Austin COllie from BYU, but Nicks, Britt, and Robiskie would all be better as far as scouts say.

Last time i checked, scouts thought Marques Colston was a nobody who would probably just be cut. Ramses Barden is a stud. He doesn't have Hester speed or Fitzgeralds hands, but he will be a solid target. 6'6 Barden wr fade in the endzone = TD. Did you see Fitzgerald in the probowl yesterday. He is bigger and out jumps everyone, guy cant be stopped. Barden would do the same thing for us and give us a huge redzone target.

Supposedly Terrence Taylor has super strength and has won all these power lifting championships. Strong as an ox. Might turn into a pretty darn good two- gapper, and can probably be had in the 4th or 5th round.

Taylor is very strong and was one of the best wrestlers in the country in high school. He spend the first 3 years at Michigan at 320 and is a 3 year starter (last 2 at NT, as a sophomore he was a UT next to Allan Branch). Under the new coaching staff, Taylor actually got down to 296 (first time he was under 300 lbs since his sophomore year at HS), and was one of the few bright spots on a very bad Michigan team.

His combination of strength, ability to get good leverage, and run stuffing ability make him an intriguing candidate for NT.

Taylor is a very interesting 3-4 NT prospect . . . value if we don't land a guy we like earlier.

Barden IMO is becomming one of the more overrated prospects in this draft. I rather work with London and use that pick elsewhere.

i would love for miami to either grab babe watson or taylor its proly just cause im a big michigan fan. and ramsyss could be overrated but last i seen anything about him he was 4th-6th round i cant really see him being overrated id he last til then and being a huge michigan fan i am excited to see henne take over whenever he gets his shot we took the last true pocket passing qb from michigan now under rich rodriguez we will see nothing but dual threat qb's anyways i hope henne can resemble marino and like i said he is the last pocket passer to come out of michigan IMO.

I don't find Terrance Taylor to be that interesting from a NT perspective to be honest. He doesn't get off his blocks to make a play, he doesn't play well against good linemen. I don't know if he shows great explosion, strength or understanding of leverage. I'm just not that high on him.

Ramses Barden is sort of like, everything's there except...

Not sure what that except is. Might be just plain speed.

at 6'6 or whatever he is we dont need speed that what kills me about mel kipers pick in heyward bey what r ginn and bess litlle speedsters we need the go get em in the redzone guy qb put it up and and we need the go getter guy i dont know much about barden i would honestly much rather have hakeem nicks i just dont want any 1 under 6'0 and dont have to be a speedsters we have 2 of them we need a guy with big powerful hands (look how well fitz goes up and just takes it down) we need someone like that i honestly think r wr's wouldnt be as much of a need if penn could throw it like henne but whent he sefties with r already 15 yards deep know they dont have to be worried about goin a 10 - 15 more yards deep cause penn cant throw it that far accurately then we creat a 30 yard coverage area thats to many people in 1 area u gotta have a deep threat so they respect it

We have Wilford, he is tall?

Not trying to make fun of you, but you need more than height . . . we need more than height as a team. Comparing Fitz to anybody isn't fair because he is the best, and when it is all said and done may be the best WR we will ever see.

It doesn't work like that, Barden struggled a bit in senior bowl practices with avoiding the jam on the line and getting seperation . . . that is huge . . . obviously he needs work . . . and his inability to do that will be somebody's gain in the 4th round or so. If he would have shown that ability with better speed, we would be talking about him possibly at 25.

U forget we have 2 TE's as well, and London has some big time height. That catch David Martin made against San Fran was damn impressive.

We need a veteran WR to be honest with you, a guy who can teach our young guys the ropes, the route running, the intangibles . . . we had hoped Wilford would help with that but it didn't work out. Tho I like guys like Bey, Nicks and Britt . . . that just adds more youth and inexperience to what may be the most inexperienced WR core in the league.

Bey is 6'3 BTW, alot of potential but he needs work, but the hands, height and speed is there. It may take 2 years, but it could be well worth it.

bess isnt fast

Definitely more quick than fast, ala Wes Welker. The only speedster on this team is Ted Ginn. That is why I laughed in another thread when somebody suggest trading #25 and Ted Ginn for Anquan Boldin . . . I'm like we definitely would have the slowest WR core in the league, not even close lol.
