The past week Saban said that he would have a new backup QB by todays drills, if Harrington has not signed yet, it could be that he doesn't want to play for Miami or Miami haven't get an agreement with Detroit to sign him
or Saban is heading for another backup QB, what do you think that is going on???

Joey is choice #1. The Dolphins and Harrington have an agreement in principle on a two year deal. Right now they are fighting back and forth with the Lions on compensation. Detroit wants a 6th round pick, but Miami is trying to convince them to take two 7th round picks.

Oh Miami is willing to give them two 7th rounders?

Sounds like it. The other thing complicating it is that the Bengals are offering a 5th round pick. However, Harrington doesn't like their contract offer. Things are sticky right now.

I heard people saying that it would be nice if Miami offer 2 seventh's, but I never heard it officially...

It could be a trade like the John Abraham's one? (Abraham wanted to play in Atlanta, but Seattle was offering higher round picks, until Atlanta offered a higher one...)

However, Miami has not offered what the Lions are looking for in terms of compensation for the former third overall pick in the draft. The Dolphins do not have either a 5th or a 6th round pick and are balking at sending Detroit anything higher and is trying to convince Detroit to take two 7th round picks.

What is verified on the Harrington deal? All I read was the 2yr contract, and the desire for probably a 6th. Is there a link to the offer of a 7th? What about a 6th next year? What about the 2 7th's? Seems like there is a lot of speculation right now. I have been trying to keep up, did I miss something specific.
