I'm just curious what everyone thinks about Booker, in my personal opinion he wasn't worth Ogunleye but hey just wonderin wat other people think of Booker.

I think he is a great #2. He has some good hands I think we should see what he does with a solid qb

90% of the people on this site stand by Booker despite his lack of productivity in a Dolphins Uni......but I think he really needs to step it up this season...he cant keep getting a free pass because he made the pro bowl years ago.....

IMO its put up or shutup time for Booker. Having only 38 catches is not acceptable from a no.2

I hope he provides enough productivity to free up chambers a bit.

I agree that he has to "put up or shut up" this year, but to suggest his production thus far as a Dolphin has been bad is silly if you consider it.

Both years he has had terrible quarterbacks. In 2004, with AJ Feeley as QB, 50 catches for 638 yards isnt too shockingly bad.

You cant complain about 2005 in the least bit. He had 17.6 YPC. He was a big play reciever, despite not getting alot of balls thrown his way, and despite shaky QB play.

Your comments are pretty funny coming from "DBoston80", btw.

The Steelers won the SB having only 35 catches from their #2. Booker had 39 btw.

I don't remember him dropping any passes for us last year, so that's definetely a good thing. When the ball is going his way, I don't worry if he will drop it or not as I would if its thrown toward Chambers direction. He doesn't have the speed and jumping ability of Chambers but overall he is a solid number two receiver.

None of us can tell you how he will do this year, we don't know the future. I just hope that if the ball isn't thrown his way he doesn't become frustrated as he did a few times last year. I remember during some post-game interviews he sounded a little frustrated and un-enthuised. (Maybe I'm thinking of someone else)

He's only had one full season and he was rarely the primary option for Gus.
His 1st season with the Phins was aberrant because he was traded in the 1st half of the season and had to learn the offense on the fly and never was able to establish chemistry with Feeley/Fiedler.
His ypc average last yr was 2nd in the AFC. He's plenty productive when given a chance.

I actually think Booker is an above average wr, but I dont think you can really make that comparision. We ran an offense under Linehan that threw the ball 34 times a game, the steelers only threw 23 times a game. When you have a 11 more passes to spread around every game, it would be expected to have more catches at the end of the season.

i'm hoping booker has his best year as a dolphin. he has a much better quarterback throwing him the ball. the running game should keep defenses honest. chambers may well demand extra help. the man catches what comes his way and is good for yac......also i believe we have an organized philosophy to attack the other teams weaknesses with this coaching staff.. all these things make me very pleased to have booker as our number 2

Compare Quarterbacks and their completion % too. Don't scew stats just to make you look right.

I could list many more #2's who had less catches than Booker. The point was they won the SB with a #2 who had less.

That maybe, but if you use a short game more, then the RB and TE can expect to pick up more receptions too. For example if the second reciever at Pitt isn't as good as the TE or RB at catching then you would expect the #1 WR, RB or TE to pick up more catches. Last year didn't the Steelers have an exceptional TE. The other thing is that they had a good running game and control of the ball. This is why I think stats stink, they dont tell the whole story.

If we win then as far as I am concerned, Both WR's the TE and the whole O line have played well, plus everyone else.
