What's Mularkey's System?

That's playcalling not the system...

Dom, he's a run first, but "not-afraid-to-pass" system. He'll run a few gadget plays here and there, but Nick will not let him get too carried away.

MM is a good hire for us.

Thanks DD28 My Fin Bro:dolphins:

I don't think we'll change a whole lot unless we get a new starting QB and even then, we'd still do much of what we did last year. We'll keep on running our 2 guys but we'll trow it too.I think he'll do a good job for us.

Ozzy rules!!

Really?? Probably not going to make Chambers happy. Does he like to use the TE?? I really can't say that I know too much about MM as an OC. I hope that he is as good of a hire as everybody really thinks that he is. I guess this is a prime opportunity for me to just say. If Saban thinks he's good, I'll go along cause what do I know. :D

Does anyone know the statistics of the RB's in his Pittsburgh system?
I'd like to see their stats and get an idea of how Ronnie and Ricky are going to do this season.

I know that Plaxico and Hines had fairly good years and they were both targets in the offense which makes me feel good about Chambers and his production for this coming season.

I Really don't think you'll see THAT many differences between Linehan and Mularkey's systems...

Take it for WIW.....
Although, we suddenly don't need an H-back now.

We can fill another need with what we would've spent on an H-back.

I think we get back to traditional Dolphin football. Run the ball down their throats, periodically mix it up with the passing game and dominating defense provided by Saban. Its what Wannstedt tried to install but failed. Mularkey's only problem up to now is he gets too smart for his own good sometimes and tries to outhink the opposition rather than outplay them. Hopefully Saban will cure him of this malady and we should be pretty good then, coaching wise.

IS he more of a Norv Turner style Run RUn pass or Linehan Run PAss Pass
Did you watch the Steelers Offense today? That's a good idea of the system. Most of what Pittsburgh runs formation wise is from Mularkey's system. The New OC in Pittsburgh after Mike left was told by Cowher not to change too much of what Mularkey's play book had in it... it's power running like with Parker and Bettis, and take your shots down the field where possible.. it's multiple WR set's and one back sets.. and like DD said.. some gadget plays like halfback passes and utilizing atheletes to showcase every skill they have.. Mularkey also utilizes the tight end alot.. his system concerning pass routes allows for their to be many options.. TE, RB, WR's.. always more than one or two options.. calls for the O-Line to pass protect to allow the QB to make his progressions.. like the Steelers did today against the Denver blitzes..

I wasnt even a huge fan of the MM hire... but one thing is for sure. Chambers will like him.

He loves to throw down the field. Chambers will now have the same role Lee Evans did...

For Chambers, having the same role as Lee Evans would be a downgrade.

I'm not that sure, I'd have to do some research, but MM likes to pound the ball on the ground. His system is quite close to Pittsburgh's current system...
